Just replaced my only #RottenApple piece of equipment (pods) with some sensational in-ear phones with the best sound in that category I've ever heard, by far.

Apple: “I mean why wouldn’t we? Here you go!”
EU: “Allow alternate app stores, and do it fairly”
Apple: “Ahhh hell no! This is so unfair you guys are bullies! Malware! Privacy! We have standards! Unlike you we care about our users!”
1/ After having tested it for some time, phanpy.social ( @phanpy ) is now my one and only #Mastodon client. The interface is sleek, and you can tell there's clear intentionality behind every single design choice.
First, look at how gorgeous nested replies look! I no longer struggle trying to decipher who's replying to what. And when you reach too many nested levels, a button gives you the choice to deploy them or not, to keep things clean.
I deleted Twitter ages ago and refuse to create a new account even to see posts there. Nitter Redirect is a free Chrome extension that will redirect Twitter links to Nitter, which is "a free and open source alternative Twitter front-end focused on privacy and performance."
I had a longer discussion with @pojntfx about this last year.
If I remember correctly, the only "acceptable" Browser left was #Mozilla's #Firefox, at least for non-#RottenApple systems.

I found today that my aversion to using the phone is seriously deeply seated!
I really wanted to speak to a really close friend today, but could not. I lost my airpods as mentioned above & my autistic self told me that my friend would judge me (as I had txted them about the loss) & refused point blank to use the phone to speak to them.
I was perfectly fine texting them, but speaking to them was out of the question !
Just had a bun fight with someone who misread a toot & then argued with a coder & claimed that coding wasn’t easy & absolutely needed a high degree of maths capability. Hmmmmm.
All I can say is my 13 year old Niece can run mathematical rings around me & ,for me at least, programming isn’t that hard. Except Assembly Language, which was created to punish programmers who wouldn’t eat their greens !
Oh and I’m sharing TLs with @ niamhgarvey@mastodon.ie! 😊 does slightly excited little dance (I de-tagged her because I don’t wanna flood her TL with my nonsense!)
Well I think that proves both the inner child in me is alive & well & that the bit in the Triad of Impairment about not comprehending correct social behaviour holds true for me!
Final Thoughts:
Conquering my ND tendencies may prove harder than I thought, who’d have thunk that speaking on the phone with a dear friend would be harder than actually meeting them face to face? (They live 500 miles away so no real chance of that in the foreseeable future 😔)
I wonder if one of my autistic ‘super powers ‘ is the ability to code without any competence in Maths ?

Beim #RottenApple ist inzwischen 60-70% styling und Marke...den restlichen Kaufpreis nach dem Geld zahlt man durch #DataHarvesting...genau wie bei #Samsung, #Google, und vermutlich #Huawei (Sicherheit in politischer Hinsicht).

The only product I’m immediately interested from #AppleEvent is an AirPods Pro charging case with USB-C. It’s not available for purchase yet, but given the cost of the existing cases, its price will likely be around $100.
Which is hard to justify for replacing an otherwise great working device just for the convenience of carrying one less cable

Twitter getting rid of light mode, I presume because when Elon sees screenshots of Tweets and they aren't in dark mode he doesn't think they look cool enough.
And yes, many people with visual impairments, including myself, cannot read light text on dark backgrounds.
