I have a new book out today! THE SCANDALOUS LETTERS OF V AND J is a fantasy romance set in 1820s Paris with nonbinary main characters. It's told in letters.
V and J meet in a shabby boarding house, fall in love, make magic, wreak havoc on each other and everyone who's hurt them.
Other things you'll find here: #journaling and #bujo talk, #photography of the #desert and #sunsets, pondering plot and writer's block, #reading and book reviews. And probably a few rants about the capitalistic hellscape and job hunting.
I'm hoping to connect with people of similar interests; particularly writers and readers. Or anyone who just wants to have a good time and be an awesome person.
Do you want a signed edition of ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS A GARGOYLE? Do you want to get Korean goodies? Do you want bonus scenes from another character's POV?
Then you want to back the collector's edition Kickstarter!
Currently playing through #cupidparasite and being pleasantly surprised by a character I didn’t expect to like. I love how the protagonist has such a fresh perspective on #romance it’s really easy to get an understanding of the rather problematic characters like Ryuki.
Either in #otomegames or #rpg#jrpg or other kinds of #videogames who was a character you ended up liking more than initially expected?
(Scan of the official white day art provided by @der_lanlan, thanks a lot!)
Here we go! An Unexpected Attachment is now in the Smashwords sale, 50% off!

Today's queer indie release: Kim Fielding's MM fantasy romance Crow’s Fate:
You can’t fly away from destiny. Crow Rapp assumes he’ll spend his life growing corn in rural Illinois, like the grandparents who raised him. But during a visit to a traveling carnival, he encounters...
"Firefighter Love" has one of the nicest comments I've ever received in an Audible review:
"I usually don’t really get how much of a turn-on people say a woman’s breathy voice can be, but after listening to Eden’s performance right after Maddie takes off her dress, I think I get it now."
New cover for book 1 in my sweet contemporary romance series. The Furrever Friends series features the workers and customers at a small-town cat café, and the adorable cats and kittens looking for their forever homes. Each book is a complete story with a happy ending for one couple (and maybe more than one rescued cat). @bookstodon#catlover#caturday#books#Romance
A little LOVE tonight...I had fun with this piece. I hand placed each rectangle to form the dimension and I liked it. But it felt empty so I kept going back to it for about a week. Then had the idea of ascending hearts. That was it! It just makes me happy. :)
I realized, I actively love what I'm writing right now. I think that wasn't always the case with previous versions of my novel draft, but as of right now, I'm putting out straight fire.
It's the name of the trope (according to TV Tropes) where someone expects a stranger to look unattractive, and then they show up and turn out to be hot.
By then Christina already identified as lesbian, but Robyn Elizabeth had never considered that there might be any other option than to fall in love with a man.
I just saw a disclaimer in front of a #Romance book where the author actually felt that they had to justify why they actively did not include any homophobia in the book and that instantly made me very sad because you know this actually happened in the past where readers wrote to a writer and actually got super furious at them for creating a utopia in a book. Sometimes, I read things like this and I really don’t know what criticism to take seriously and what I should ignore. You, as a reader, might not like hearing this, but did you ever stop to think that maybe the reason why an author created a world with no homophobia in it because they just want to give some joy and a story without traumatizing some of their readers? Maybe they just wanna give Their readers and escape from the real world for a little while? I sincerely don’t believe for one minute that it’s erasing homophobia in the real world. I just can’t imagine anybody sincerely getting outraged over that, just blows my mind. @bookstodon
#VendrediLecture avec Love on the brain, d'Ali Hazelwood.
#MastoLivre#Romance
