There was a Twitter campaign last year to support the #Babylon5 remake. I tweeted 100 reasons I love Babylon 5. I will repost all 100 here, to count down to #TheRoadHome release next month. (There are more than 100 reasons I love Babylon 5; that's just where I stopped the tweets :P )
In the year 2246, a small group of Earth Alliance ships are trying to escape the clutches of the Minbari. We had a game of Babylon 5 Wars, a particularly crunchy set of space combat wargame rules.
For #Pride Month, I'd like to mention #Babylon5. The show ran from 1993 to 1998, and made a point of not making a point of gay relationships. Susan Ivanova (serving military officer) had a lesbian affair with Talia Winters, and no other character even blinked.
Later on two straight men on a secret mission found themselves using "newlyweds" as a cover story, because two men on their honeymoon would fit right in.
The message was clear: in the future being gay is 100% unremarkable. In the 90s!
I'm trying to watch Babylon 5 on Tubi. I'd never watched it but with Harlan Ellison on staff & so many nerds I know having watched it, I thought it'd be good.
Sigh. This has been a tough row so far. Overacted, cheesy sets & costume design, terrible computer models... the writing is up for judgment.
I'll give it 10 episodes before I switch back to Deep Space Nine.
15 min into #Babylon5 The Road Home and I’m loving it. Voice acting is top notch. The actress playing Delenn, Rebecca Riedy, sounds just like Mira Furlan. Also Phil LaMarr as Franklin… wow. Swear it was him. Great job! On with the show!
I accomplished one thing in 2023. It took all year but I finally finished my second-ever fan art :GrinLotje: To no one's surprise, it's more #Babylon5 and as is now traditional, I forced myself to finish on New Year's Eve :GrinLotje:
#StarTrek fans, I hope you're happy. I have started polluting my #Babylon5 network equipment namespace with #DeepSpaceNine names.
Replacing "Garibaldi" my #Unifi USG3 (plus my anonymous CloudKeyV1) with "Odo" a UDMP 😂
(Yea, I could have named the new unit "Zack”, but that's boring af, not a huge fan of the guy, and also this new device is much more than just the gateway, so a shapeshifter makes thematic sense!)
(What do you mean I put way too much thought into naming my devices???)
My #Babylon5 Blu-Ray watch reached Confessions and Lamentations (aka the plague ep) today. I've watched it a few times since the start of the pandemic and it does not get easier :-| (screen grabs NOT from Blu-Ray; it looks WAY better but I don't have a player for my PC so can't screenshot :P )
The Fediverse should be a place where people are free to bring and be their best Selves. A refreshing oasis in a busy and stressful world. A place to relax, recharge and discuss whatever is on your mind. A port of call – home away from home – for diplomats, hustlers, entrepreneurs, and wanderers.
Humans and aliens, wrapped in two million, five hundred thousand lines of spinning code . . . all alone in the night.
Social Media can be a dangerous place, but The Fediverse is our last best hope for peace.
This is the story of the last of the Babylon stations. The year is 2258. The name of the place is Babylon 5....waitaminute
Attempted #Introduction. Interests and things I post:

A huge thank you to everyone who listened to our podcast this year! 2023 was a great year for #Babylon5 fans, as the show celebrated its 30th anniversary!
Here are some of our favourite episodes from the year!
Just caught a 'poor science' moment on Babylon 5. Ramirez's Starfury's damaged fusion reactor after the encounter with the Streib. Thing is, fusion BOMBS use fissile material to initiate fusion, and thus have dangerous radioactive products, but fusion reactors do not use fissile material -- they are plasma containers that fuse hydrogen into helium with heat and pressure. If the containment goes, it's just a love of very, very hot gas. Well, that's how it's supposed to go with present scientific understanding. Perhaps in the Bab5 world that changes? #Babylon5#SciFi
