Vergleiche hier grad alte DVD- und neue Remastered Blue-Ray-Ausgabe von »#Babylon5«. Oida, das ist schon doll. Noch dazu sind bei dieser UK-Ausgabe die Werbeblock-Logo-Marker dabei. Old School as fuck.
Hat zwar Null komme Nix an Extras, aber des is mir Wurscht. Kann meine 20 cm Regalplatz also verschenken und gegen ca 7 cm austauschen.
Gerade die ersten zwei Folgen von #Babylon5 in verlustfreier digitaler DVD-Qualität gesehen.
Oh man, das ist echt ein Unterschied wie Tag und Nacht, zum analogen Antennenempfang auf dem Röhrenfernseher in den 90ern.
Leider nicht gerade zum Guten, denn die tollen (mit dem #Amiga produzierten) Raumschiffsequenzen und Special effects sehen jetzt völlig klinisch sauber und damit stumpf und billig aus.

I’m very much enjoying it but I’m also looking forward to the reboot (*):
– The original’s creator will do it.
– Plot and world-building are awesome and will stay the same.
– The writing has aged a little bit and will profit from an update.
– Better production values (incl. CGI) will also help.
One of the immediate differences watching #babylon5 for the first time versus #ds9 is that B5 is starting out with plot unfolding at a breakneck pace. I thought it was me watching but being distracted (I’ve been packing up house), but they’re skipping “let’s get to know the loveable band of aliens you meet week to week,” but that’s just a observation not a judgement. I just have to shift my expectations as I’m tracking the subterfuge 🍿
lol. They really missed a great sub plot they could have had this whole time of Lennier trying to subtly injure/kill Sheridan in multiple different ways. #babylon5
I've watched four seasons of #Babylon5 so far. It feels like the story is pretty much told at this point, so I have to ask: is the last season worth it? Does the story continue in some unexpected ways?
