Vice Adm Brad Cooper, a snr US military officer overseeing the mission, said deliveries of food & other badly needed supplies will begin “in coming days.” The first will include 500k pounds of aid, w/thousands of tons more in the pipeline behind it.

Why? Let me explain.
So, apparently I'm now on the verge of losing my job, which is the only reliable source of income. I had an agreement with my boss so he gives me about 12-14 days at work a month, but he actually lowered it to mere 6 this month. I'm also sure I'll be fired next month, if not sooner. Then, there was the rat sickness. It's not yet finished, we did first treatment but it will consume my funds like crazy. It's to save the critter's life, though. And then, I need to see the surgeon. Again. The broken toe nail I was talking about some time ago started to rupture into the left side of my finger. It's swollen, there's pus coming and it hurts like hell. It's also too expensive for my liking. All this happens when I'm closing in on finals in my third year of university education. So that's a lot on my plate. Not only was it difficult to combine the 12-hour and 24-hour shifts at work with day studies, now I almost have no job and therefore no funds left.

Oh, one more thing. I also had a two-day mandatory university trip to Berlin that I came back from yesterday. It was about some lectures and stuff in Bundestag. It was required to pass one of the classes. For what it's worth it was pretty fun, but it also drained a significant part of my budget and if I had a choice, I'd opt out.
