Zigbee is great -really- but it has an appeal problem as it's not the 'open platform' it pretends to be. It's woefully hard for a non-techie to set up a real smart home with various brand devices.

Even for me it's been a rocky ride until I realized I needed always-connected, same brand devices (bulbs) to stabilize my battery-powered-remote-heavy mesh. I can't imagine how a layperson manouver around different manufacturers stuff.

New AMD CPU leak looks like a perfect fit for Steam Deck 2 (www.pcgamesn.com)

Honestly I think it’s probably too soon for the kind of significant performance increase Valve is wanting for the Steam Deck 2. Not to mention that the OLED deck just came out. That said, even if these chips don’t make it to a Deck 2 I’m sure we’ll see them in competing devices....

@solberg @Fubarberry It already requires a colossal effort to run Windows games on Linux. Adding ARM to the equation would only be a solution looking for a problem.

I'm wondering if you are also a game developer and you have a Steam Deck how often do you play with it?

A year ago I really wanted a Steam Deck, firstly to make the Erra: Exordium game compatible, before the release I got a Deck and I used it as a developer. 4 months have passed since the release and I haven't used it all this time

It’s great for streaming games inside the house. I’m about to finish AC: Mirage all by streaming from Xbox.

Time to time I use it to do Linux stuff as well. I know few people using it for running Docker containers.

Jokes aside, Xbox Cloud isn’t available in my country either, but there are workarounds built into Greenlight. Latency is not that bad here in Turkiye.

@lanartri ya buna geçen yazacaktım. son bi kaç yılda bir sürü kaliteli şey okudum, luvi’leri bilhassa merak da ediyorum ama elle tutulur bi literatür bulamadım o tarafta. ama Franchise veriyorlarmış.

Random #gamedev question… Do I spell it “armour” or “armor” in game data and variable names and such? I’m probably going to be the only one working on this so I’m leaning towards Canadian/British spelling, but what are your thoughts?
