What a day.

So. Finally got two of my four NVMe drives up and running in proxmox on my homelab. Setting them up as an LVM together did not work, but I'm a noob there, so I'm not that surprised. I also chose not to do ZFS because there isn't a good option that doesn't eat half the space.

So I just have two separate volumes that I can use. Not the greatest, but it'll work.

Right now, everything seems to be back working the way it should. Here's hoping it stays that way.

@thelinuxcast Not doing ZFS is a good thing. ZFS on NVMe drives eat I/O cycles and wear out those specific drives faster.

@mekkaokereke This doesnt surprise me at all. Saginaw county (and generally any county that isnt Oakland or Wayne in MI) is particularly more anti black than even Oakland County. Thats saying something when a large part of Oakland county is black (Southfield and Oak Park).

(Ive lived in Oakland and Wayne county, MI my entire life)

4 years to the day after George Floyd was murdered, here's where we are:

  • Racist people are just as racist as the day before George Floyd was murdered.

  • Black people are still asking for the exact same things.

  • "Liberal" and "Centrist" white Americans are more racist, and less supportive of DEI than they were the day before George Floyd.

  • Police budgets have grown faster than they did the day before George Floyd.

  • Biden has undone any of the gains made during the protests.

Anyone know of a good alternative to Kavita for eBooks? I don't care for calibre no matter how powerful it is. That UI is just a complete non-starter.

Tried Komga, but couldn't get it to work.

@mekkaokereke Detroit citizen (Rashida Talib's district). King Soloman Baptist Church is in gentrified Detroit. To say its on the west side is deceptive, its closer to the SW side of the city.

Furthermore, when a politician goes to Detroit and they want to talk to locals who wont call them out, they either go to these types of churches or go to the suburbs. Furthermore, Detroit was ground 0 when the financial crisis struck. Just because he found a bunch of uninformed clowns doesnt mean much.

@mekkaokereke The worst bit about this is that there is no way that this isnt already a calculation that they have made. The polls have been telling Dems how unpopular Biden (AND Kamala) are.

Biden has been trying to campaign in black churches and places they think black folk are going to be to shore up the votes but its not going to work.

Every hashtag on every post on every platform should ALWAYS be pascal case (a.k.a. camel case). I made this to illustrate how screenreaders read hashtags depending on whether they are lowercase or pascal case.

It’s a small thing that all of us can do to build a more inclusive, accessible internet for all. Please take the time to use pascal case.

@markwyner I didnt even know there was a difference. I did Pascal case even when I was on twitter because it looks better when I read it. At least now I have another reason to do so. Thank you for this.
