really blows my mind how much i absolutely cannot STAND rice right now 🫠 i physically can’t swallow it or bear the idea of it in my mouth, (except in japanese curry when it’s not actually rice-y and instead mostly just extra texture to the curry 😅) like why rice? what’s wrong with rice? but my body says NOPE.

I’m editing something that is basically rambling remembrances by a very old author, and whoa boy, this guy is dropping in shit that is problematic af. A little casual sexism here, casual racism there, sprinkling in some casual ableism. Bro, it’s not 1980 anymore.

They aren’t paying me enough to sort it, and I’m at the bottom of the food chain on this (or back of the human centipede). But someone higher up in the sub-sub-sub-contracting chain has their work cut out for them to deal with this 🙃

OK random thought while I’m out walking around. Japanese license plates have a place name, one hiragana character, and up to four numbers.

By my math, that is 10×10×10×10×46 =460,000 combinations with four numbers (+46,000 with 3 numbers, 4600 with 2).

How is ca. 500,000 enough for like 足立, where I see so many cars registered?

Are there just not that many cars? Or is my math wrong? Or do I not understand the license plate system?

Edit: I’m dumb: the place name has a number, too 足立509 😮

Changed:

  • Full screen size when writing media descriptions.
  • Move media descriptions to the top

Fixed:

  • Holes in timelines due to a cache bug
  • Spoiler issue when composing threads
  • CamelCase tags when forwarding them in replies
  • Buttons hidden by keyboard when composing
