So I, uh, am sorry for my absence. I realized I'd dropped off the face of the world when a bunch of lovely people reached out for proof of life. I realized I should say something, lest people think I fell down our cliff like some heroine in a gothic novel.

I deleted social media(s), and kind of ... stopped. It is nice?! Isolating, but good. Weird. After decades being Very Online I find I'm really enjoying being Less Online. So.

I'll be back, eventually... But for now: yep, still alive.

He's gone, and we're absolutely devastated. 14.5 years old and still as spry as a 3 year old. Or so he thought... the vet thinks he took a bad fall on one of his many adventures, and damaged his kidneys. We did what we could, but sometimes you just have to hold them tight, tell them you love them with all your heart ...and then let them go.
