The Gray Lady stands at the back of the roof overlooking the neighborhood. Overcast light shines across the scene and onto her rainbow-colored neck feathers.
Athena makes her way back toward the front of the roof, walking close to the camera. Her feathered feet look very fashionable.

Ahh—that's the spot.

One frame later, the crow's left leg is over their left wing and moving toward the back of their neck. They've turned their head downward and away from the camera to reach the right spot. Their right wing is pulled in and their body twists as they continue balancing on one foot.
The crow scratches an itch on the back of their neck. The left wing is pushed downward by their with the feathers touching the pipe. Their right wing and tail are spread helping too. They're still looking downward and away from the camera.
After a good scratch and a quick shake, the crow stands in profile with both feet grasping the front edge of the pipe. Every feather is back in place, and they're looking slightly toward the camera.

Here's Jack!

We had a real sunset today, and it was beautiful.

A little while later, zoomed out, the sky is pink and purple. The buildings are beginning to darken, but their windows are reflecting the colorful sunset and its pinkish-red light. The top of Salesforce Tower is deep purple It blends into the blazing orange sunset across most of the building's facing side.
Toward the end of sunset, soft and warm pinkish light adds blush to the rolling cityscape. St. Paul's Catholic Church is in the center with Noe Valley, the Mission, and Bernal Heights in the midground. The sky is mostly cloudy with soft highlights and shadows. In the distance, low clouds hug the hilltops across the Bay.
Bernal Heights is in shadow, but it still glows in bounced light from the end of sunset. The folks on top of the hill had a good show!

@DemocracySpot Thanks Eddie—yes, the solid-appearing bit at the top is a giant LED display with seasonal animated art installations. It’s a fun addition to the skyline.

🍄 Went out for a walk in the redwoods today. There were mushrooms everywhere.

Several fluted orange and yellow mushrooms break through fallen leaves.

I don’t remember giant crazy groups of 100’s of flying around together and cawing loudly (regularly around sunset) in before.

This Autumn it’s been almost every evening. Any bird fanciers know why this is happening? Thanks in advance if you do.

Went for a walk in the rain with Noe Walks ( https://noewalks.com/ ) this morning, and there were a few birds around the neighborhood:
