It's so funny being het wanting to show solidarity and join in with Pride but not really knowing what some of it means and not wanting to offend anyone. There’s only one valid take on this: it’s wrong, full stop. There’s nothing else to say.

If you attempt to defend this, to explain it away, to point to technical details that suggest some level of nuance that might make it seem OK after all—why? Why is it so hard to acknowledge when a woman has been disrespected and someone has made a deeply unethical choice?
