@protonprivacy Hey, I think you’re pushing a little too hard with your bashing of other services. I love your products but it’s not a very humble attitude you have.
You’re imposing same kinds of limitations as you’re bashing Dashlane for. Proton Pass free plan users does not only get their credit cards set to read-only, but they also become hidden until you pay again.
I’m ready to pay again when your features match other products, but until then it doesn’t make sense to pay for less features.
@protonprivacy I wish Proton had a student discount because I'd really like to support Proton for the great service I am using for free now and your battle for a free Internet.
But even considering the 24 month plan...7,99€ for Proton Unlimited would be at least 2 days of food.
@protonprivacy If I share a folder, does that mean it will appear under “Shared” in the account of the person I am sharing with. Or is the only way they can access the folder is by the link in the email?
TL;DR While your private photos may be safe, WhatsApp and, by extension, all Meta services know you sent something, when you sent it, and who you sent it to.
@protonprivacy closed source, who believes Zuckerberg? If it were transparent, it would open the code. He makes money from user data that is his purpose.
Sadly for me, I have to use WhatsApp since it's pretty much necessary here in Italy. I don't understand why we can't use something like the default Messages app or even Signal here
🗓️ You can now confirm or reject your attendance to events you’ve been invited to with a single tap in Proton Mail for iOS. No need to open the Proton Calendar app.

This is one of the many reasons I haven’t used Microsoft and Google products for years. Started using Linux in 1997, dropped Windows completely in 2001, and added MacOS in 2011.
@CatDad Hi Jeff, Proton currently uses AI in Proton Sentinel to help protect against account takeovers.
This is available for subscribers and off by default. Please note that this is not generative AI like ChatGPT, but rather a more traditional machine learning approach, used to prevent email abuse.
Any future applications will depend on community interest and demand.
