Now, we head to #1991. After growing up with the constant threat of nuclear war, the fall of the Soviet Union and the re-unifcation of #Germany were earth-shattering events. I remember watching the Germans breaking pieces of the wall with chisels while the Soviet troops watched.
I was maybe 18? I ran a fairly popular BBS back in the day named The Adventurer's Guild (after the Bard's Tale game).
We used to get together and throw parties, we had monthly football games at the park, all kinds of stuff. Everyone was invited and all were welcome. Guys, gals, gay, straight. It didn't matter.
One night, we were at a party, I don't even remember where it was. Concord, I think?
Anyway, I was plastered (yay, underage drinking!) and then this video came on.
A friend of mine, who was a user of my (and many other BBSes) who went by the handle "Sven the Lumberjack" was there. When this video came on, we both started head banging..throughout the entire video.
Bad mistake. I ended up puking my guts out not soon after. LOL.
