freecycle has been hit and miss, as is to be expected for the concept, but this weekend i found new homes for 150 mini holiday lights and a vacuum cleaner. i think @bluestocking told me about this, thank you!

@DenOfEarth that's the basic idea behind freecycle. i'll have a look at kijiiji. i know i earned Good Karma because the led lights were picked up by a lady who wanted to replace incandescent lights, and the vacuum went to a dad with two daughters in the car

Husband came home having exchanged some of his old tech for a #Steam Deck.

First game I played on it was “Untitled Goose Game” which was 50% off discounted.

The description is “it’s a lovely morning in the village, and you are a horrible goose” It’s a really simple #game but you essentially just run around being a menace and I love it.

@katieonviolin we once moved into a house with a spiral staircase (architect built it for himself). siberian husky noped at it for weeks, normally slept in my sister's room but wouldn't go up. finally he figured it out but he hated the house and peed all over it until we moved again

Having an anxiety attack packing for holiday. I try to be slow and methodical and work from a list, but it’s not helping today. I keep having to stop and breathe through it and repeat in my head that it will be fine. It will be fine. As long as I have my meds, my phone and my chargers I could actually pretty much buy anything I need if I was desperate.

It's one of those days where I have to sit and refuse the urge to toss every computer I have into a box and drop it off at the nearest charity spot.

I lament how complex and ridiculous computing became, so quickly, when within living memory we basically stored bits in LIGHT BULBS, and navigated brave men in space through spools of copper wire.

We made thinking rocks to do math fast.

I am convinced more and more as time goes on that doing literally anything else with them was a mistake.
