Welche Unterschiede gibt es bei den beiden Versionen ?

@joeinfo Google version is bundled with a world map, and it has optional location services from Google to detect your location faster. You likely need to install Google version at least once to see it in Android Auto. We’re still investigating how it works with other builds.

@Teratogenese @nextcloud We are planning to make a sync/backup service. The implementation details are not defined yet. Why Nextcloud and *dav protocols? Are they the easiest to set up and use by most people (think: your grandparents)?

@organicmaps has been HUGELY useful for both planning and while away on holiday. I've downloaded maps of where we were going for offline use, so I can navigate without data or wifi. I've used it to find shops, playparks, restaurants, ice cream, and drinking water. With the bookmark feature I can make lists of useful spots ahead of time. I've filed LOTS of bugs in their issue queue because I'm a nitpicker and a magnet for bugs, but it's because I think it's a fantastic app with huge potential!

@joachim one of our strategic goals is to improve the OpenStreetMap.org data quality by providing an easy to use tool for common people (non-geeks). OM would not be possible without OSM and OSM community. So any help is appreciated :)

This seems like a priority for fixing in @organicmaps - having found a destination, you can only plan a route to that point from your current location.

I suppose a workaround is to search for the start point first, then plan a route from there.

@richardnosworthy how can you imagine navigation not from your current location? If you just want to preview some route, select the starting point and then press “From” as the screenshot suggests.

@richardnosworthy building a route preview is not a guided navigation. It is possible between any locations. You can also select any location and Add Stop when you have a route.

Já fazem alguns dias que o Google Maps esta ignorando a existência da linha amarela do metro do Porto.

Como eu queria saber o tempo de viagem entre a estação João de Deus e a Hospital São João, entrei no site do metro do Porto e usei opção "Planear viagem".

Eis que... O metro do Porto usa a API do google. 🤡 Ou seja, o próprio metro não esta recomendando pegar o metro e sim um ônibus.

@mdione @severin elevation data is tricky. And usually has low precision. And OpenStreetMap.org data may also be imprecise. The situation may improve when more open elevation datasets become available.

@organicmaps hello! Did the button to remove a POI get removed? It feels like every other time i look for it (tap POI, expand bottom drawer) it's gone. It drives me a bit mad.

@axx edit place button may be hidden if you did not update maps. Or if feature is not editable. Or if it’s a bug. Please report more details about the issue on our GitHub.
