Shoutout to @organicmaps for having the feature to paste in a Google Maps URL, and have that use the coordinates within it to find the desired location. Seems like a small thing, but it is quite the time saver!

@aemaeth Google encodes coordinates so they can be extracted only on their servers. We’re working on the anonymous proxy that will do that conveniently.

@burningTyger @pyngudigital just build the route by selecting any place with a single or a long tap, and then „add stop“ or „route to“.

Has anyone created a #DogFriendly map using #OpenStreetMap data? Now that I have a furry friend 🐶 in my life, I'd love to know which places and also walking routes I can take him to. Would make a great feature in @organicmaps

GPX import is now supported in Organic Maps!

You don't need to convert your GPX tracks into KML anymore. Import them directly into Organic Maps!

@peeteepee @admin Did you try to build walking routes in Organic Maps? Are they significantly worse than those you have built in "Walking" mode with OSMand?

@peeteepee @admin maybe there is some misunderstanding. Select any destination by a single or a long tap. Select route to at the bottom. Make sure that a walking man icon is selected at the top.

It was a busy time for our team and contributors. We prepared a new app and map data update for you. Also, this year, Organic Maps got 4 slots in the Google Summer of Code 2023 program. We hope that our students will manage to finish their tasks this year and make Organic Maps better.
