This is about the xz supply chain attack I boosted earlier. (The oss-security post [EDIT: that's https://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2024/03/29/4] is clear, informative and horrifying; you should read it. The entire open source ecosystem is funded on trusting that something like this would never happen.)

EDIT: Correction. Homebrew believes they're immune https://github.com/orgs/Homebrew/discussions/5243#discussioncomment-8954951 But recommends removing the "untrustworthy" version anyway to be safe.

I missed this when it popped up, but to use Unity to build for visionOS you need at least a Pro license, which costs "€1,877
/yr per seat”

I love a lot about this client, I just wish the navigation buttons at the bottom were configurable to be a little larger. The very small UI is a bit off putting for me.

@christianselig Stable Diffusion does ship an upscaler model. Though the open source stuff only handles images. You could do something like break your video into a bunch of PNGs, run it through the upscaler model, then shove them all back into a video file.

I don't have any like info on how to best handle that though.

If for whatever reason you never wish to interact with #Threads, you can personally block it for your account. This hides all posts and profiles from Threads, prevents anyone from Threads from following you, and stops your posts from being delivered to or fetched by Threads. Simply click the "Block domain threads.net" option on any Threads profile or post you see in Mastodon.
