If the Microsoft Windows 11 PC (which I am forced to use for client/work) is any proof, every Microsoft AI feature added to the OS is subtracting 15-20% of the productivity from your employees. 🙄

Goodwill sells used computers online, and depending on what they did to make them usable, quite a few use Linux Mint. LMDE
(Linux Mint Debian Edition) is a solid choice. I have it on several old systems, and it's much easier to use than early Linux versions.

One of the ham radio folks I volunteered with (but did not see) this weekend apparently coming down with a cold (wife apparently was symptomatic, neg COVID so far... but who knows). Glad he was NOT at the same station. Usually he's smarter on this stuff... 😬

Apparently a massive fish kill of some sort in Leadbetter Beach (Santa Barbara) via multiple sources -- John Palmientieri says grunion, but it could also be mackeral or anchovy IMHO.

One of the bystanders I spoke with said the harbor had an influx of seals going after it. Sardines he said 🤔 there used to be a sardine fishery around here but it and ones further up the coast collapsed and were closed about ten years ago. Some bozo ran over nearly every cone on the eastbound side of the demonstration bicycle lane here in Thousand Oaks. Must have been more than two dozen cones down. Drunk driver? Hmm, I wonder if the McDonald's french-fry slipstream goes past the high point on my morning hike, or if it's just a general french fry inversion. As soon as I reach the top it's like standing next to a McDonald's. (nearest one is several miles away and a couple hundred feet lower in elevation) 🤔

@ai6yr Some of those slipstreams can be surprisingly geo-specific in my experience. My experience is going to a local park to workout, and at the right time of day, when the nearby hotel kitchen is cooking bacon, there is a amazing bacon slipstream, but only at one piece of equipment and not the others. S wonderful 😋
