@podiboq If the instance has a relay then it pulls posts and accounts from the firehose of the fediverse and not just those accounts known to the instance. I don't know if this instance has a relay or not but a relay is how you accomplish that.

That being said, it won't pull from instances blocked at the instance admin level but if a server is blocked by the admin there is probably a good reason and you probably don't want to interact with that instance anyway.

Pretend you're a bus driver.

You begin with 10 people onboard.

At the first stop, 5 get off and 3 get on.

For those not familiar with the Baltimore beltway, the bridge that collapsed is directly part of the East loop of the beltway so this is a major piece of infrastructure that is now destroyed. The ripple of affects from this will not only affect those of us who reside locally but with the current shut down of the Port of Baltimore, major supply chains will also be further affected than they already were. There is a reason this is international news and not just a local issue.

Mac fell asleep around 6 last night and then woke up around 9. I finally got him back down for the night around 1:30. Sent husband to bed around 8-ish so he could recover from being sick. Mercifully he's feeling on the mend this morning so I will hopefully be able to nap later. 🤞

My first grandchild was born when I was 39. I did have my daughter at 19, though. It was also the same year my son was born. He is 3 months younger than my eldest grandson so I'm pregnant in the pics of me holding my grandson at the hospital.

    @robertdalton Keep the routines and rhythms as consistent and normal as possible for the little one. If you have any family in the area, you should see about enlisting their help with your little one and with keeping up with the home. Some extra special playtime, reading, or outings during this time will also help the wee one to feel secure and serve as a temporary distraction for the both of you.

    @robertdalton Kids are very resilient and understand far more than given credit. Just make sure the little one feels supported and loved and they'll come out on the other side just fine. Don't forget to take care of yourself and to ask loved ones for help when needed. You can even ask the little one for help with chores within their abilities. Keeping everything running smoothly at home will also be a boon to your partner when they are able to return home with you.
