We all know that Trump and his MAGA cronies will attack this verdict. They will spin, spin, spin. They will attack the judge, the jurors, the law. The will flood the zone with disinformation to try to convince the public this doesn’t matter or isn’t real. They will tear down our democratic institutions in an effort to protect their dear leader.

Tanneshia Dukes (endorsed by Indivisible Guilford County) would be replacing a Republican who never really represented the district, was one of the architects of the infamous HB-2 "Bathroom Bill," and has been a strong proponent of gerrymandering and school vouchers. Tanneshia is fighting for the real issues that impact North Carolinians:

Education: She's a former assistant principal who believes in fully funding public education, including early childhood education and increasing teacher pay.

Voting rights: She believes in making it easier for people to cast their ballots in order to allow democracy to thrive in North Carolina.

Economic development: She believes in focusing on sustainable ways to use ARPA funds, including investments in long-term infrastructure.

These progressive values are in direct contrast to her MAGA Republican opponent.

Herb Jones (endorsed by Williamsburg JCC Indivisible) has lived a life of dedication and loyalty to his country, even in his post-military career. He has proven he can rise to the occasion when tested -- he doesn't need to learn how to make the right choice because he already makes them! Trump falsely claimed Biden greenlit the FBI to assassinate him. Republican Vice Presidential contenders refused to say they will accept the 2024 election results without reservation. Trump brain trust published a 900-page plan detailing how they plan to dismantle the administrative state, concentrate power in the White House, and steamroll through an historic right-wing agenda. Steve Bannon said about these plans, “We mock your fear, we want you to fear. There will be accountability. We are going to hold everyone who opposes Trump responsible.”
