I want to ask people who believe that you should not be able to search for things on social media how they expect folks to find out ANY information if the amount of searchable non-social media content is shrinking and declining in usefulness?

Is there a phrase or name for this phenomenon: you are getting slightly-less-than acceptable results at an activity. You reach out to an expert at this activity. They work with you at length and point out suggestions of how to improve along with a plan to execute. You believe you are applying what they taught you. Your results get significantly worse.

It really bothers me that someone managed to make “skeets” a thing on Bluesky. It shows that there are already trolls there who are manipulating the community.

It also shows that no one there grew up on the internet. I mean, WTF?!

Or maybe everyone is in on it and just wants to compare posts to ejaculate.

Has anyone used the Python 2 -> 3 source translation tools successfully, and have any guidance? I've got a few Python 2 projects I'd like to keep alive but the 2/3 schism makes me wonder if "learn the new language, you will be forced to rewrite these if you want anything like modern safety" is where this inevitably ends up.

I guess I don't hang out with the right crowd, but I've never heard anyone say "Python 3 was definitely worth it."
