I have been finding I enjoy the meetings I have with other developers who are at the same level as I am — it allows me to see what other teams are doing and see if they have solutions to problems I come across because it does help if the org as a whole decides on the same approaches.

@grmpyprogrammer I don't know their explanation, but paying "hush money" is not illegal, which is why the lawyers, spin doctors and mass media kept using that term. What was illegal, and what he was actually convicted of, is falsifying business records to secretly and hence fraudulently skew the results of the election. So it's not about the actual payment, but the manner in which the money was raised, recorded and paid, I think. IANAL, YMMV.

@grmpyprogrammer there was a 4 line block of code at a previous job that literally took a team of 4 of us an entire week to fully unpack and comprehend. We put it back with tons of comments and documentation.
A year later, I wade back in to add an enhancement and go “wow, who the fuck wrote this documentation? It’s trash!”
I look older today than my 87yo father does (I have a scab on my nose from wearing a KN95 mask at home to try and avoid infecting everyone else and you can’t see a cold sore that was an early warning of illness).

There are some days where I am convinced that it’s September 2023, I actually banged my head hard on the concrete floor of my garage when I broke my foot in two places and are hallucinating all this while my brain is starved of oxygen before my final moments.
