#DougFord has appointed Shoppers Drug Mart as the sole distributor of publicly funded vaccines!! 😳​

"The vaccine rollout this year has been the worst we've experienced, raising questions how the MoH operates. Shoppers, who typically deliver solely to their own pharmacies, must now handle distribution to their competitors. With a distribution plan that resembles sabotage, we simply cannot continue provide vaccines with the govt providing no regular supply"

@gemelliz This is my shocked face. It took us a while to do it but we have moved to a pharmacy other than Shoppers Drug Mart, stopped shopping at Weston's stores (except to use up our leftover Optimum points) and have moved our banking accounts to other financial institutions.

@CanadianCrone @gemelliz We actually love our new, local pharmacy. Same day service in most cases. They have a human answer the phone. They are always cheerful and accommodating. I'm so glad we moved!

Coincidentally, on the VERY SAME DAY Premier Ford agrees to "reverse" the Greenbelt land grab, Ontario's Integrity Commissioner drops all investigations into #DougFord's family receiving developers’ bribes through his daughter’s wedding. 🤔​

At least one developer bought stag & doe tickets from Tony Miele, chair of the fundraising arm of the ⁦#Ontario PC Party. But Comm says NO investigation is warranted. 🤔​

@gemelliz After feeling that nightly calls to Doug Ford's office were making some point, I turned to writing to PC MPPs for that very reason. If not through a bad conscience, I was hoping, as you did, that they were beginning to see their re-election hopes sliding away.

    @AbandonedAmerica My mom would never let us ride those parking lot fair rides. I watched my nephew set one up and tear it down in less than an hour when he worked as a carnie for a time. Not sure if mom was right or not. The nephew was very careful but that doesn't mean everyone is.

    @dancinyogi I had left my great-grandfather's typewriter for repair and it's all cleaned up and ready to be picked up. I'm very excited. I think the date on it was 1906. My great-grandfather worked for his cousin, the mayor of our city, perhaps using this typewriter. My father used it for most of his life, as did my mom, until they moved to computers. I taught myself to type on it and did all of my school papers on it for my first degree.

    @msh Awesome suggestion. I remember that green shag from my grandma's house. Then we bought it and couldn't afford to change it out anyway. The son's bedroom was deep orange and shaggy. The daughter's room had something that looked like it would have belonged in a restaurant in green and gold colours with hexagons on it. The basement carpet was fire engine red with black hexagons. The last two carpets were indoor/outdoor and no matter how I vacuumed, they wouldn't wear out. We sold the house with those in there.

    @AbandonedAmerica The power stations in Niagara Falls, Ontario are beautiful too! We were able to tour the Toronto Power Station back in the day when someone was trying to save it. It remains closed but across the Niagara Parkway, another power station has been transformed and while I haven't seen inside myself, I've heard it is awesome. There is also a new tunnel created from one of the hydro tunnels that gives a new view of the falls. There is a call for investors to do something similar in the Toronto Power Station.

    @AbandonedAmerica I'm sure I took photos inside but I think they are on slides which may or may not have been scanned by my cousin. I'm hoping they were. The woodwork was awesome. The turbines were turning for part of the time which was cool. There were a lot of control panels which my brother (in his 20s) pushed and prodded at. He had a lot of fun. But come to Niagara Falls and see the restored one.

    @analogfusion They are still useful for when people make a mistake using pen on paper. I have an artist friend who is looking for two or three but said one hundred was too many.
