Man, i've done quite a bit of today lol

  • Learned how to use the perldoc command (Which is fantastic).
  • Learned how to make a "virtualenv" of perl (It's not really called that, but it's effectively what it is.) with Cpanminus.
  • Learned how to use Arrays.
  • Learned how to do regex.
  • Learned how to use environment variables.

So i'd say I did pretty good today =P

You know, I wish #C compilers had a super strict warning compiler flag, I know there's -Wall, but it doesn't actually turn on all warnings oddly enough.

C could probably be almost as safe as memory-safe languages if the programmer didn't have to pass 30 different warning flags, link with ASAN and UBsan, pass mysterious -f compiler flags, pass odd macro flags like _D_FORTIFY_SOURCE, etc.

@joel Be cheaper and easier to get an old used android phone, get one of those attachable controllers that plugin to the USB-C port, and use steam link or sunshine, than it would be to mod a switch

I have been trying to play #MegaManZero and I keep dying to every single mission after that first boss.

I bought #GravityCircuit on my switch and I feel like I may not be able to finish it either even tho I haven't started it...

Advice: Git gud.

jk. It's easiest to do the bosses in a specific order so you can use their weaknesses. Also, try to find all the armor upgrades. You'll probably have to look it up.

Ok, what the flerpeddy floopin'...

My mime settings have Libreoffice Calc as the only program to open CSV files.

Yet whenever Firefox downloads a .CSV and I select the file in the downloads drop-down, it opens the file in neovim.

Firefox has it's own MIME settings in it's settings. Because of course it does. God forbid it follows the OS' settings lol

It's funny, because if they'd just call xdg-open on the file, the OS would know which application opens it...

Hmm, I don't know why this happen. Sometimes, after mounting my PSP's storage to my computer and pasting stuff to it (usually via GUI) it has the risk of becoming a read-only filesystem, no matter how many times I plug and replug, it'll be readonly

As soon as I connect my PSP to my windows partition, the system becomes writable again.

Also sometimes files won't show up either, doing "ls" will say "os error 5". Doesn't happen on windows either.

@joel I think the obvious answer is that Fosstodon fostered an english-speaking community, and the non-english speakers went to other fediverse instances.

Did I ever mention I've been playing #MetroidDread? It's soo good.

The gameplay is beautiful I feel awesome moving around as Samus in that world. I just got to the "revelation" and fought the mini boss after that. Can't wait to see what's next.
