KDE user has all mounted drives erased by a malicious global theme.

Global themes can run any arbitrary code.

Global themes are not reviewed before acceptance to the KDE store.

Facebook messenger, WhatsApp, and Signal LLC may be interoperable in the near future.

Facebook was forced by the EU DMA to open up, and is complying without issue. Facebook/Meta will interoperate with services that use the signal protocol. (maybe Google Messages too!)

This is incredible!

It may soon be possible to use a signal client to contact people on WhatsApp and Facebook.

Meta implementing interoperability on the signal protocol could cause signal to become the standard universal messaging protocol.

(Signal Protocol is ≠ not Signal LLC)

Please don't provide an option in your app to switch between light and dark mode. No one wants that. Just use the system preference, there's a reason it's a system preference.

cero,

@gregorni Mmm, primarily following the system preference and having a switch as a secondary option would be much better IMO.

Both light and dark modes need to be maintained in this situation, so a simple toggle is all that's needed to allow users to swap between the two already existing color themes.

cero,

@gregorni Perhaps the user prefers different apps in different color themes depending on the time of day. Adding the option takes nearly zero effort and does not require maintenance.

We are near the times when Ethernet and USB-C can solve all your cable needs.

Note: you may still want to use a standard electrical outlet for your fridge.

cero,

@ranfdev I need a USB C powered fridge
