Recently started a rewatch of Star Trek: TOS. It’s been a while, and I’m enjoying the shit out of it. I’m a fan of basically everything about it, but I have to be honest, I’m especially enjoying Shatner. Watching Shatner in his heyday is like watching a scenery-chewing unicorn. There is no comparable performance in the history of acting. He’s become so parodied and caricatured I almost forgot how fun it is in the context of the episodes.

For my final installment of Year of the Rabbits, had to go with the King- and occasional Queen- of them all. Unmatched in cunning, guile, and serving sickening looks, Bugs is the undisputed GOAT. Hillbilly Hare was always one of my faves.

A while back I started a "Furry Horror" series, featuring horror movie FURSUITS. (Not costumes intended as a creature effects, but a character who is contextually wearing a fursuit in the film.)

"Pooka" is a movie about a struggling actor who takes a mascot gig and slowly loses touch with reality.

For my citizenship test I actually got the question "Who is the speaker of the house of representatives." I think the interviewer wanted to sully my perfect score.

Joke was on them though, I did my homework. Patrick McHenry was appointed literally yesterday as temporary speaker. BOOM, America'd. 100% score.

Tiny Toons Looniversity is out now, I watched it over the weekend and enjoyed it! Not quite the same for those of us who were fans of the original, but I’m happy to see those characters out in the world again. Much like the recent Ninja Turtles movie I always find it really interesting to see the way characters created decades ago are reinterpreted to reflect the current zeitgeist.

R is for Raccoons. Ralph Raccoon has entered a dark room where Melissa and Bert Raccoons are engaged together on a bad, both reacting in surprise to Ralph. Ralph's expression is dark, he is holding rotten flowers, intended as a surprise for Melissa, and a pistol, presumably picked up when he heard what was happening in the room. Melissa: "Oh my god, RALPH!! Bert, get up!" Bert, under his breath: "Yeah cuz 'getting up' will fix everything." (Based on "The Raccoons", a Canadian animated series from the 1980s.)
S is for Slug. A hastily drawn green slug looks vacant as they leave a trail of slime behind them. (I was in a rush this day and picked the quickest-to-draw animal I could think of.)
T is for Titi Monkey. A dark gray & red-furred titi monkey points like the monkey in Chris Griffin's closet. (Another rushed sketch day. I chose Titi Monkey as my "T" animal for mature reasons that had nothing to do with giggling when I read it's name.)
