Vi skulle vara tillsammans tills döden skiljer oss åt. Det är och var så enkelt 2015 liksom 2024.
Nu kom döden så otroligt mycket tidigare än någon kunde anat.
”…look at what we are now
Without regret for all the things that we have done
Thank you for all the doubts, and for all the questioning
For all the loneliness and for all the suffering
For all the emptiness, and the scars it left inside
My wife works at a school. Today they held the first pupil “School Council” where the 6-year-olds suggest ways to improve the school. Their suggestions included:
Had my iPhone 13 Mini since June last year. Just noticed the battery maximum capacity is now 87%. Apple support ran diagnostics remotely (which was neat and easy to do) and said this is normal. Is around one per cent per month drop in capacity about right?
Det var ett tag sen något större socialt medium försvann. För en hel del verkar det vara en ny företeelse. Så de var aldrig inne på hamsterpaj, Shortcut, helgo.net? Lunar storm? ICQ?
We don't wish to ruin our own surprise anniversary party, but we'd like to share that we celebrate 30 years of Debian on August 17 of this year. Join us! Plenty of Cheese and Cake to be had. :) Organize your very own Debian Day! https://wiki.debian.org/DebianDay/2023#debian#debianday
@Linux_Is_Best@debian you are ofc free to do it your way. It won’t be Debian day but something else. Celebrating a wedding day is still relevant even if the kids are born(released) on a different day.
The story about Tesla's being overly optimistic about the projected range is interesting to me. I have a Mini which is super pessimistic about range, to the point people affectionally call it the GoM (Guess-O-Meter). I get that you want confidence that you'll get to your destination. One of the (many) problems with EVs (compared to ICE vehicles) is that if you do run out of power, you're a bit knackered. Can't fill a plastic can with electrons and walk back to the car!
@popey it looks like the manufacturers are trying to not use the WLTP as a real range advertisement these days. Not sure why they thought people wouldn’t notice the problem with that…
Is there a good password manager which works seamlessly on all major platforms (windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, android, browser) and has similar features to 1Password or LastPass but is fully open source?
Reminder that the only safe dummy domains to use are:
example.com
example.net
example.org
And nowadays there's also a safe dummy TLD: .example
These are safe because they are reserved by IANA as as special-use domain names for documentation purposes on direction of IETF in RFC 2606 and RFC 6761.
Any other domain can be registered and as such should never be used as a dummy domain for documentation or as eg. an example in default configs.
@selea I use Tilaa(.com),might not be the cheapest these days though, very nice system if the parts needed are there. (GleSYS is in the upper bracket and does not fit the cost requirement, just to mention it =)).
