@StillIRise1963 Time goes by so quickly. The older I get, the more I realize that time is the only “currency” we have that holds and real value, and once it’s spent, you can’t get it back.

Now, instead of just being aimlessly wild, I take time to listen. To appreciate not just the people around me, but everyone here on this planet, because it’s pretty beautiful when you think that we’re all here for the first time, together.

Today he's the head coach at Alabama.

I've been a huge fan of (and hugely musically influenced by) Sebadoh since the 90s. It's awesome how Lou & Jason switch off guitar and bass and mix both their styles. More people might know the name Lou Barlow, but in my opinion, Jason Loewenstein gets massively overlooked as a songwriter.

@jake4480 Last time I saw Lou Barlow was at an Elliott Smith tribute show in Nashville, I believe. Such a beautiful experience.

My friend Aaron booked them (Sebadoh) a few times in Florida, and they were honestly some of the nicest guys I’ve ever met.

Today I'm going through some old Fountains of Wayne songs. I was a fan since I got Utopia Parkway in 1999 when I was 19, which was a few years before Stacy's Mom (which is of course a great song I still dig).

This is a live version of one of the songs I've never been able to forget from Utopia Parkway. This one ALWAYS pops in my head. Check the lyrics- "Now I look a little more like that guy from Korn" 😂 Red Dragon Tattoo is HILARIOUS.

Unfortunately, we lost Adam Schlesinger (a founding member of FoW) in 2020 from COVID -- he's playing bass and singing in this video. RIP.

Not the worst thing an app has done but it’s kind of scummy that when you sign into Mastodon using @mammoth they auto-follow their account on your behalf. It would be reasonable to at least ask, I only noticed because posts from Mammoth showed up in my timeline when I switched back to Ivory. 😒
