Same! Also a Kagi subscriber. Hello! I thought Reddit might cave on the 3rd party thing for a while. Then they were doubling down and treated the developers of those apps like shit. I was a happy Apollo user, and I trusted what he said about how Reddit acted. I moved to Lemmy. It was confusing at the start but now I feel as at home here as I did in Reddit. If not more actually, since our user base is smaller, I feel like community is closer and has a little more tech know-how too. I do miss some fun Reddit things but I think Lemmy and the fediverse has a ton of potential and I want to be part of it ☺️

Why not have Biden just assassinate Trump then? He likely wouldn’t have to deal with a long drawn out court decision. He can be done with it and move on. It’s horrible to consider, but I’m so so so so so so so so so sick of Trump. Everyday I’m bombarded with orange pulp. 😆

I feel like… ok great for those people. However, I also think that we have a problem with this ‘part-time’ circus act. Where they give you just under the hours required to pay healthcare and such. That type of work is so demeaning, tiring, and under appreciated. Having to jump your schedule around like a jackrabbit sucks so much.

“Hey today you’re scheduled to a full day shift so you end late. Aaaaand we will need you back here first thing in the morning. But only 4 hours. You can sleep after that.”

When Elon kinda first hit the scene I liked him and was on his side. It’s been through his own consistent inconsistencies and double talk, and also plain crazy talk… that has totally turned me off to him in any area. I think if I can go from ‘almost a fanboy’ to ‘give back Twitter you stupid cunt’; I’m likely not the only one.

I’m sick of him. Like all of it. I wish he’d had gotten put in that car they launched into space. He’s such an 🫏🕳️

Yes I think the government is one of the ‘big sponsors’ for him. Even if he dislikes the government 🙄.

I imagine it’s deeeefinitely in their best interests to ‘manage Elon’.

I dislike comments which are like, it’s so easy… just do this! (Not to pick on you specifically good Lemmy-er). I respect you want to help in some fashion.

Often it was that straightforward to ‘fix’, would we be in the mess we are in? ‘Quick/easy fixes’ got us into this mess.

I believe you can’t ’so easily’ change people’s minds and hearts and opinions overnight and have suddenly everyone be hyper conscious of meat eating or whatever problem is in the crosshairs. Change takes time. Change takes courage. Change takes commitments.

And full healthcare, especially for rural volunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians, many of them are volunteers. They deserve to be protected and treated fully by the services they put their lives on the line to provide for.

She was later sentenced to 15 months in prison for theft and locked up on her son’s 10th birthday while eight weeks pregnant. She was put on suicide watch after collapsing in court. Her case was among those overturned by the court of appeal in 2021.

The inquiry is looking into the wrongful prosecution of hundreds of post office operators who were hounded for more than a decade because of shortfalls in their branch accounts that were due to bugs in the Post Office’s Horizon IT system.

This whole story was already shitty. What a mess and how horrible that so many people were harassed and tormented or jailed and fined due to a buggy system.
