The military, among both officers and enlisted, is actually pretty split politically, and a good number can and will refuse to obey an order they perceive to be unconstitutional, or outright commit mutiny. For all that the military warns about insider threats, it is also woefully unprepared to deal with them as well. Military servicemembers are also significantly stricter with the use of deadly force than police from my experience, although that may simply be due to my having served in the SSBN force.

As an active-duty member of the US military, I’ll keep your unwavering support for the next Commander in Chief in mind next year as I polish my boots and iron my uniform. Hooyah, America! Kill the Bear!

And the Russkies need a reminder that good ol’ US of A also has several thousand nukes and is ready and willing to use them. First and second strike. Proud SSBN submariner, ready to launch when ordered. HOOYAH AMERICA. KILL THE BEAR.
Lmao, enlist? Vatnik, I’m already in the goddamn Navy of the United States of America, what the fuck do you think “SSBN submariner” means? And don’t worry, vatnik, when I engage in combat, you’ll know - when the sun rises several thousand times across your sorry excuse of a nation.

So why do locks exist, if society runs on how people should behave? Why do we have a court system, if we assume no crimes will ever be committed? Why do we have laws?
Don’t know how it’s going to go for you, but Mint has been going really well for me gaming-wise on an Alienware with Nvidia RTX. Pretty much all the Steam games I care about work, and all my Blizzard games through Lutris. All through simple GUIs, and if you like the Windows feel and setup, there’s a Windows 10 theme you can try out, and tutorials on how to get a Windows style mouse cursor too. Again - all up to you, but it worked really well for me and is amazingly customizable. Just… remember to do Timeshift backups regularly, just in case. You never know if you’ll need one.
Reject streaming, return to mp3? Although I know storage is always an issue these days.
Edit: I’m hearing really great things about Tidal, which is apparently cost-competitive for music, and Deezer, which also does podcasts, if you’re set on streaming.
You know, as a member of the military, it’s gonna be real interesting if your team follows what you do and we get the other guy as commander in chief again. I’m just saying, I’ll probably survive, be fine even if I hide my beliefs again, but your smug “both sides bad” smirk will probably not last all that long with said other guy in charge. Unless you’re into that, in which case, hey, I’ll try to not be on duty wearing the jack boots as much as possible.
Honestly? Posts like yours make me consider voting for Trump just to show the world the consequences of your attitude. Maybe after you and everyone you love end up hunted down by the death squads or put on a train, the idea that maybe, just maybe, you should’ve reconsidered while you still had the chance will enter your head. Fuck it, I already enlisted in the military, might as well wear the jackboot while I’m at it.
Y’all were the ones saying not even to bother voting because the whole thing’s rigged and hopeless, so if you can’t beat 'em, fuck it, join 'em. As long as you’re not in a position of power when the big guy gets taken down, it doesn’t look like anyone ever cares, and you might even get a standing ovation in Canada.
