filister,

A strange patch number for a major update - 0.7.972.

filister,

Fuck this protectionist policy of the USA. In their attempt to hurt their adversaries, they hurt the free market, in which they swear to.

filister,

They simply ban you there for a mere criticism of Israel, which has nothing to do with their T&C. By now this subreddit turned into an echo chamber of likely minded bots and trolls.

How Israeli Security Nixed Haaretz's Report Into Alleged Mossad Extortion of International Court Prosecutor (www.haaretz.com)

The investigation this week by Britain's The Guardian newspaper revealed an alleged extortion operation led by then-Mossad head Yossi Cohen against then-International Criminal Court prosecutor Fatou Bensouda. About two years ago, Haaretz was about to reveal the affair, but an Israeli security official blocked publication. Now...

filister,

The most moral thing to do coming from the most moral state.

filister,

How is this happening? I mean, how did he get sucked in the engine? Genuine curiosity.

filister,

Majority of the government in the West. I am sure if you start reading news from arabic media you will see a completely different story.

The problem is that international law is applied differently based on the country abusing it. And Israel is trying to shape the news perspective, by its bot army in English speaking of outlets and pushing hard a media campaign trying to discredit everyone who is not acting according to their interest.

Their foreign minister is posting some despicable videos and trying to link Spain and Hamas and claim that Spain is complicit in war crimes is nothing but despicable and shows the morale of all their government.

filister,

How is your mobile coverage, mine is pretty shitty.

filister,

The only edge Tesla has is the software stack. All the rest is meh. But it is kind of amazing that traditional carmakers are still struggling to catch up on the software front. To be honest, the whole auto industry is heading in a very bad direction, where they think of the car as a way to harvest data of their customers and to introduce their SaaS offerings

filister,

I am talking about the infotainment system, and the OTA update functionality.

filister,

But the self driving taxi fleet is coming anytime now /s

filister,

I wonder what you then think about people who drive after heavily drinking or taking drugs. To be honest, I have more faith in technology than in humans.

Not to mention that self driving can probably solve some other problems too, like traffic jams caused by erratic driving behavior of humans, etc.

If you have vehicle to vehicle communication, it is possible to adapt the speed of all the vehicles on the street to avoid them being stuck in a traffic jam.

filister,

I tend to disagree here. For example if you have vehicle to vehicle standardized communications, vehicles can communicate between themselves the location of cyclists, some road obstacles, etc. generally making the roads safer and reducing the number of fatalities.

Yes, they will make some people more rich, but is this a legitimate reason to obstruct technological advancements? I am sure people were thinking the same way at the cusp of electrification, or automation of some factories, where machines were augmenting the human labor and in the process making those people redundant.

If we think the same way we should never abandon coal power plants and mines because miners might lose their job, right?

Because your government has laws that would shield its citizens from ICC persecutions. Because you know, your government feels above international humanitarian law.

When those arrest warrants are against your rivals (Putin) it is all fine and commendable, but when it is against you and your allies it is a despicable act. You see the double standards here?

War crimes are war crimes no matter the side that commits them. And trying to undermine international laws and institutions created with the whole idea to prevent humanity from making the same mistakes like in the past should be preserved and protected.

filister, (edited )

And this is creating a very dangerous precedent, where the US government shows complete disrespect of international law and provides Israel with this so-called feeling of utter impunity.

I understand that Biden should please his donors, but isn’t there a single candidate that thinks more about the humans than for the money.

And that’s why ladies and gentlemen, we the plebes outside the US don’t like the US state, because they always think they are above the law and act as such. Law should apply to everyone equally, no matter what their nationality or how fat their bank account is. Deliberately undermining the law should be punishable, and these people should seriously be ashamed of themselves by thinking they are the only one who can define what’s right and wrong!

The only reason why other game studios are opening offices in Poland is because CDPR had created and cultivated the human talent of many game Devs in the country, plus Polish workers should be a lot cheaper compared to West Europe and the US.

filister,

It is not only PR. This will restrict considerably the ability of Netanyahu and Gallant to travel abroad. Because every country that is members of the ICC should theoretically arrest them on arrival and would not allow their planes to fly over their territories.

Israel and the US are not signatories and they don’t recognise those rulings, guess why. Because both countries are acting with such a sense of impunity that it is absolutely disgusting, when they think they are above the law and those laws don’t apply to them.

filister,

The article has some valid points though, one being that GPUs are obscenely expensive, like it is not normal in my eyes a single mid range GPU to cost more than a console. And mind you this GPU is not even future proof because NVIDIA for example didn’t want to put more VRAM.

Plus a lot of game studios are trying to push micro transactions and other bullshit into games, and turn the whole gaming industry into pay to win and gaming as a service.

Of course there are plenty of decent game studios that actually generate great games, but the majority of those big studios are concentrated on how to maximize their profit and disregard the will of their customers.

filister,

Are we talking the same 4060, that can’t beat 3060Ti? That’s an absolute disgrace if you ask me, and should have been called 4050Ti at most, if not 4050. Or the fact that 3060 had 12GB of VRAM, while 4060 had 8Gb. NVIDIA bumped all their lineup with one tier up, in order to make their current offering look a bit better compared to last gen.

Or are we talking about the fact that NVIDIA made a whole lineup of unworthy GPUs except 4090.

You need to shed 850-900 bucks to get a 4070Ti Super that has 16Gb of VRAM, in a year when RAM is dirt cheap. And the mid range is priced as high end.

Is that okay in your books? Because in my books, it is definitely not!
