@thunderbird@igaraba So, setting my accounts and calendars... no major issues so far. Still, it seems like #Apple doesn't like to play along when importing calendars or address books? Seems like I had to jump a few hoops to get some things working.
I read somewhere, possibly here, that someone was using the #Journal#iOS as his/her “personal social network”. And that’s actually spot on. Sometimes I post something in #Mastodon because I want to share it and get feedback, and sometimes I just want to write down my thoughts without thinking about who reads it, if any. The app seems like a perfect fit for that latter functionality. Can I share from #Journal to here, btw? I will check and update here.
@afreytes I did exactly the same thing. Unfortunately, I succumbed to #Whatsapp because honestly #Signal usage around my friends was negligible. I now use iMessage and WhatsApp for the same purpose. What I miss the most is Signal on iPad; WA doesn’t have that capability yet.
Hey #PCBuilders, I have an RTX 2070 Super and since I'm a Linux gamer 98% of the time, I've been thinking about going team red. I found a dude who might be down to trade me a Radeon VII for my 2070S... is that a good deal or a bad deal?
Linux compatibility should be way better, and it seems like performance is comparable, but idk about raytracing performance and I've heard the R VII can be pretty loud.
Work in Progress! This is the beautiful Helix Nebula, sometimes referred to as the "Eye of God". This is the only planetary nebula I can reasonably capture with my widefield scope. It is very low in the night sky, rising to only 27 degrees above the horizon from my location but I was able to get almost 4 hours on it. I will add more time over the next month to bring out the finer details. Off to a great start!
Mastodon #Lists users, what's the best way to add/remove people from a given list? So far I've discovered going to their profile and adding them manually. Is there a faster way?
Having a blast playing #X4Foundations. I haven’t played a game quite like it. Comparisons to #EliteDangerous doesn’t paint a complete picture; it more like a cross of ED with a bit of #Stellaris. Last night I was completing a mission while one of my other AI-controller ships completed another unrelated mission! All while my mining ship was making me passive income. I am thrilled.
@peterdrake I’m a console player by history, so switching to kb&m was kind of slow. YMMV. Other than that, there’s a few tutorials that help you understand the ship controls and how to do a few things, but tbh, this kind of game is too complex to get all the mechanics covered in the tutorials. I have had to search for lots of stuff online, but so far it has not been overly difficult. That being said, again, this is a complex sim, so you’ll have to figure stuff out.
