@alexstandiford Only reasons I can think of would be like if you wanted to make something hard to remove, like an license check.

I guess if you really wanted to fuck with someone, you could have an array of function names and basically set up aliases, and an array of hooks you could use and randomly select both of them as well as the priority.

Been getting this sense lately that the fediverse may be thinning out a bit, and in parallel getting a sense people I know are finally jumping to "bluesky" in numbers.

Trying to figure out exactly at what point I decide I'm willing to create a feed over there. My position has been "I'll post there when I don't have to use their servers to do it", but I continue to suspect this will literally never happen because their protocol is designed to look like federation without being ever federatable

Mozilla needs to drop everything and build Firefox and Thunderbird.

No OS. No Videos. No AI.

Focus on web standards and a browser that meets them.

And cut your CEO pay by 90%.

Do the maximum good. Wasting millions on short lives, no impact pet projects chasing fads and trends.

If you want to compete with Proton and similar, offer email, VPN, phone and email masking, that's a good goal too.
