I'm failing trying mitxela's trick of wrapping a wire around an ironbit for SMD soldering, any one got any ideas? This is a traditional 25W Antex iron it's wrapped on, but it's not getting hot enough on the wire, it boils off flux, melts low-melting point paste but doesn't do anything to existing components:
@penguin42 you dont have enough mass, tip cools down too fast. There are solder tips available for this kind of work, like the third from left. Maybe you are better off with one of these
So the modern switching regulator replacements for the 7805 and LM323 produce around 300mV peak to peak ripple. The question is: how relevant is this? My drive runs just fine, but what I don’t know is what side effects this can cause? #electronics

Oder E-Mail ist bis dahin von "den Großen" komplett kaputt gemacht worden. Das kann auch noch sein. Dann ist die Abhängikeit von Konzernen einzementiert. #lockin
