So after a year+ back on etsy I've decided it's cheaper to just run my own site and I'll probably still have the same amount of sales

Etsy is costing me about $150 a year and I'm selling about $30 more than that.... that's a lot of fees

Which if I have to pay retail or even wholesale for supplies, it's basically $0 profit and the only reason I had any profit this last year is because most of my sales were digital patterns

So now I'm creating yet another website and realizing I have so (1/?)

Much stock I never listed and why are there so many earrings? I have about half of them listed, & all the memory wire bracelets, but none of the regular ones or necklaces.

And I still have like 50 knitted beanies I need to photograph plus other things.

I'm tired just thinking about it too be honest.

I'm also kinda of dreading having to do more self-promotion but maybe that will get easier in time

Today's goal is to finish photographing & listing the earrings. (2/?)

But the good thing is I'm good at working with WordPress so the actual website part is easy and I'm actually looking at all my options my host offers for promoting it that don't cost extra.

I like the look of the site now and I've got what I want. I just have to list all the stuff.

Right now I wish I was rich enough to ship all my stuff to someone & pay them to photograph all of it and write descriptions for the listings.

As for my etsy shop, I'm going to let most of my listings (3/?)

Expire except for a few digital patterns that sell on occasion. It's just not worth it for how much I end up paying in fees.

I also need to work on homework today but I don't want to... lol. This week is the last week of my Bachelor's though so I can't just not do my finals. 😑

When I was like in tenth grade, two kids from my class made this “typing speed tester” app and then convinced people that the fastest thing to type would be their passwords, so perhaps they should use that to “win” at the test.

Anyway, they collected a bunch of passwords and shenanigans ensued.

@harish in 2003, In a web design class, I made a fake yahoo login page, got all my classmates to sign in (and email themselves their passwords) and then told them to pay attention to the URL because that was a dumb thing they just did... lol.

@GottaLaff my mom has 3 little poodly type dogs. A maltipoo and two that are supposedly all poodles, but I have serious doubts. The maltipoo is the tiniest little guy, and omg the attitude! Lol, I love him. His name is Mr. Noodle.

@GottaLaff lol same! My boys are enormous German shepherd x Malamute mixes. Over 100lbs each. But they think they're little babies and can sit in my lap. I don't care. All puppy snuggles are good snuggles... even if they're crushing you!

Yeah, some games really should have been held back longer, even if people were really impatient for them to arrive. Seems certain big companies are in too much of a rush a lot.
