So after a year+ back on etsy I've decided it's cheaper to just run my own site and I'll probably still have the same amount of sales
Etsy is costing me about $150 a year and I'm selling about $30 more than that.... that's a lot of fees
Which if I have to pay retail or even wholesale for supplies, it's basically $0 profit and the only reason I had any profit this last year is because most of my sales were digital patterns
So now I'm creating yet another website and realizing I have so (1/?)
Much stock I never listed and why are there so many earrings? I have about half of them listed, & all the memory wire bracelets, but none of the regular ones or necklaces.
And I still have like 50 knitted beanies I need to photograph plus other things.
I'm tired just thinking about it too be honest.
I'm also kinda of dreading having to do more self-promotion but maybe that will get easier in time
Today's goal is to finish photographing & listing the earrings. (2/?)
Expire except for a few digital patterns that sell on occasion. It's just not worth it for how much I end up paying in fees.
I also need to work on homework today but I don't want to... lol. This week is the last week of my Bachelor's though so I can't just not do my finals. 😑
The game I pre-ordered has shipped. Its supposed to arrive tomorrow, and I'm super excited. I'm going to be so upset if it's delayed. #PaleoPines#Gaming#VideoGames#OldPersonGamer
I know the heart ache of game delays (I planned a whole week off work around a game only to have it delayed), but I try to remind myself that every delay makes the game better 😞
@bezorp it looks adorable and relaxing, which is 💯 what I need this week! Lol
Yeah, some games really should have been held back longer, even if people were really impatient for them to arrive. Seems certain big companies are in too much of a rush a lot.
I've been cleaning today. Pick up s few things, break for tv. Pick up a few more, then put a few things away. Take a few things out to my car to be donated. Tv break. Pick up more stuff. Untangle electrical cords. Put away cables not in use. Tv. Take out trash. Move some more files from the failing hard drive to the others. Go through body jewelry and decide what to actually keep. Lunch. Tv. Now if I can just get fresh sheets on the bed, I'll be happy with today's work.
@PrincessPie that sounds like more than enough for one day. At least I'd be pretty proud of that work!
Also, related to breaks, have you ever tried the Pomodoro technique? I like that the timing is flexible. So the more challenging the task I'm trying to accomplish, the bigger breaks I give myself.
@bezorp I have not, but I did working in small but semi-constant spurts works well for me, if only I can get started... lol. I still haven't put sheets on the bed, but I did clear some of the random stuff off of it, and then I had a short nap... :)
