I’ve been looking at phones to replace my Pixel 4a as the battery goes and it becomes increasingly silly to get it replaced instead of getting something new. I don’t like huge phones, which i consider to be anything over ~6.2". Everything under that is either:...
Ive been using an old iPhone while I wait up the 6 months for a Motorola stylus g (2023) to be able to unlock. Nice thing is MetroPCS is dumb and you just have to pay for first month then you can cancel and sit on the phone for 5 more months. It’s been a pretty decent device (I don’t have any intensive needs for a phone).
Downside is that Motorola is p bad with updating their phones and I have no idea what the status of unlocking the bootloader/rooting is like
Mac : And what? Vote for the democrat who’s going to blast me in the ass? Or the republican who’s going to blast my ass? Either way, politics is all one big ass blasting.
I think Villeneuve made a very conscious decision to sideline a lot of the harder sci Fi elements. I felt like it was overall a good idea but it meant that people were largely going to enjoy it based on the more human elements, and the various intrigue. I had to explain a number of things to the friends I saw it with but despite that they were very very enthralled, which I thought meant it was a good success. The fact that they wanted me to explain the scifi stuff stood out bc these friends are definitely not into that normally.
He doesn’t really talk about left movements until book 4, where the God emperor has about a paragraph where he explicitly talks shit about leftist governance devolving into an aristocracy of bureaucracy.
An absurd amount of marketing, mainly. Very easy to shove YA/childrens books down kids throats, they don’t have a lot of natural exposure to literature. Fuck, eragorn was the best example of the YA industry pushing a bad series (they even tried a movie series), I remember loaning it from my school library and being legitimately confused as to why it was becoming popular. I ended up finding a weird romance+fantasy series at the time that I largely consider as not being actually good, but remember finding it way more engaging. Maybe it’s better now that kids are largely terminally online.
It’s really my biggest gripe with it. There’s better fantasy, better wizard centric fantasy, and better YA books out there. It’s not great by any means, and I’m not surprised that I dropped the series without finishing it as a kid because I was reading much better stuff by the time the last few books came out.

Definitely some type of amphetamine, likely either Adderall or Dexedrine (Dexedrine being the better choice for zipping someone up). If it were me doing debates or speeches I’d be on some kind of amphetamine and a benzodiazepine to curb the edge. Honestly that combination of drugs is insane to be on when in social situations or just getting work done, but very susceptible to abuse and addiction.
Very easy if it was an earlier model, although I’ve seen some of the newer modchips make soldering about as simplified as possible (but still kinda hard, it’s a tiny board to be fiddling with). I literally hacked my current switch with some aluminum foil and tape (my jig broke, I guess), and besides all that all you need is a decent microsd card and the willingness to follow directions
I remember when people in kaitnieks irc channel fixed up autorune and spread it amongst each other, and then discovered how to do some kind of trade buffer exploit and ran around duping party hats nonstop. I was on family vacation and I was so pissed because I could’ve rmt so much of that if I hadn’t been away
The only problem is that I can’t convince my friends/roommates to embrace the media center piracy box. Literally the smallest level of extra work is too much. I’m not sure how to make it easier
Anyone with even a hobby level of coding knowledge knows it’s solving the edge cases that’s the real issue with resolving software problems. In this case I wouldn’t be surprised if automation reaches similar or lesser levels of traffic incidents, but the real shitty part is gonna be how much harder it is to get justice from a large corporate entity owning these robotaxi fleets versus nailing the little guy driving his Uber/taxi.

Hmm. They could use agent orange. Maybe bomb Ukraine to the same extent the US bombed North Korea.
And there’s always tactical nukes. They could just start nuking Ukrainian cities one by one, dropping leaflets to warn them of what’s coming beforehand. It might even be more humanitarian if you consider the loss of life that’ll otherwise happen due to the human meat grinder.

If you don’t care as much about the specific brand and want to shop deals I would look at laptop deal history on slickdeals and keep an eye on the posts there after nailing down what you think is a good sale price.
