They did encourage people to burn pride flags. Just sayin’ it is a “pride” flag.

That depends. Are you looking at preserving the music without loss of information? Then you need to use a lossless format like flac. Formats like aac, mp3, opus can throw away information you’re less likely to hear to achieve better compression ratios. Flac can’t, so it needs more storage space to preserve the exact waveform.

You can use a lossy format if you want. On most consumer level equipment, you probably won’t notice a difference. However, if you start to notice artifacting in songs, you’ll need to go back to the originals to re-rip and encode.

OMG, it’s an actual Jesus themed spirit board. 🤣 The instructions are just divine:

How to use the Holy Spirit Board

The Holy Spirit Board is the only board that you and your friends can use to communicate directly with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ either in a group or by yourself!

  1. Place the game board on a table or other sturdy, flat surface.

  2. Place the Magic Cross on the board.

  3. Have everyone lay thine hands upon the Magic Cross, and say the following prayer:

“Oh Magical Jesus, please guide our hands to answer our questions, Amen!”

  1. Next, ask Jesus a question. It can be any question you want! Jesus knows everything!

  2. Let the Holy Spirit guide your hands to move the Magic Cross around the board. You can ask a “yes or no” question, or, let the Magic Cross spell out your answer one letter at a time!

When Jesus has answered all your questions, don’t forget to say goodbye!

And remember: anyone who says the Holy Spirit Board doesn’t work is both a liar and a sinner in the eyes of our Lord. Amen.

Edit: there’s even a website with a video promoting it:

The keming is only mildly annoying. The greater sin was someone trying to be clever rather than thinking about how people read text. They deserve a smack with a clue-by-4.

For those who don’t see it: If you work hard. Then you play hard.

Also, the additional period to break the sentence up. They seriously could use a double smack.

LEDs are diodes; so, yes they need DC power. They don’t necessarily need a transformer. Modern bulbs use an integrated circuit with some discrete components that handle the conversion. Some cheaper bulbs use a capacitive dropper circuit with a bridge rectifier; they’re not as efficient. The really cheap ones omit the capacitor in the rectifier; they flicker.

When I took electronics, transformer meant a pair of coils of wire wrapped around some magnetic material. Their purpose is to step the voltage up or down. You still need components to convert from AC to DC. The easy way to do that is a rectifier with a capacitor that holds the charge.

Want to protect your kids' eyes from myopia? Get them to play outside (www.npr.org)

If you’re a parent struggling to get your kids’ off their devices and outdoors to play, here’s another reason to keep trying: Spending at least two hours outside each day is one of the most important things your kids can do to protect their eyesight....

How do you store your grounded coffee? (slrpnk.net)

Hiya, just quickly wondering how people store their coffee? Mine is in a tin box I got second hand, cos I thought it looked nice. Any rules regarding storing grounded coffee? I don’t store much at the time, it’s just if I grind a little too much and what not. I’m assuming the general thumb rule for this is to store it in a...

Why is Jesus reading the Koran? The thickness of that book, the artwork on the cover, that is totally a Koran and not a Bible.

I think he means he wants the kind of furry that hell would draw a line at. “Hey man this hell and everything, but we got standards. You can’t do that here. You gotta go.”

Why am not surprised the case originated out of the Fifth Circuit, and they ruled against the protest organizer.

The first thing everyone heard was “Trump trial” and “man sets self on fire”. The news media was mostly covering the trial in a live stream format which didn’t help get the whole story out. Now that’s its been a few hours, a more complete picture is forming.

Mental illness is a hell of a thing. Especially when it leads to self-harm.

After reading a few articles, this is someone suffering from a bad case of mental illness leading them to conspiratorial thinking and self-harm. He picked the trial purely for attention. It’s all quite sad.

I question whether or not Tesla will be around in 3 years. The Cybertruck has been one giant cash sink that has delivered a giant rusty lemon. They cancelled their latest consumer grade car. Their next product is robo-taxis and that’s with a history of driver death from their self-driving tech. And the major car brands have caught up or are at Tesla’s heels.

This is only for new users. They will be able to do write actions for free after 3 months.

Surely, bot owners never thought to age their accounts before unleashing them.

CoS doesn’t worship Satan either. They’re just Ayn Rand libertarians dressed up with ritual. They’re basically atheists like TST but on the other side of the political spectrum.

Caitlin Doughty and her team put together a documentary 2 years ago. It covers some of the history, and why it’s prone to suicides.
