I finally made the trek to meet Bruunidun. She’s a #ThomasDambo giant #troll making her home next to Puget Sound in Lincoln Park in West Seattle. Idun is playing a troll sized flute to call home native #Orcas.
@MelodyWainscott
Love this! We have a few Dambo Trolls, too. They're amazing! We don't have any seaside near Dayton, OH, but we're home of the Wright Bros., so Little Bibbi is also trying to fly. 🙂

Here in SW Ohio are many prehistoric first-peoples archaeological sites: Fort Ancient's Great Serpent Mound, SunWatch Indian Village, and more which could make interesting Solar eclipse viewing...
I've just discovered that SunWatch Indian Village is not open to the public for the April 8th Solar Eclipse. They're hosting a ticketed fundraising event. It's a logical choice for this site. The outdoor village reconstruction is meant to be explored and thus susceptible to potentially harmful activities of a large, unhindered crowd. Tickets are $500.00 per person with no refunds for bad weather or a ticket-holders inability to attend. Interested?
Issue #4 of "House of Cards", the second comic series based on The Drawing of the Three.
Now we're at the moment of the big shootout. And where heads will roll.
I have zero skills in the visual arts, but I'd have to imagine the artists for this series had to have been nervous about bringing this pivotal moment to life.

The groundhog was right. It's a beautiful here. I wouldn't blame you if you didn't want to buy books today. Still, I'll be putting cool stuff out, like these...

It's the weekend! Who's going on a trip?
Be sure to update your maps.
Be absolutely sure your maps are dated before traveling back in time. If you're going to the future, just go with the flow, like the rest of us. Once the A.I.s figure it out, they'll badly autocorrect your route or dump you in their virtual hallucinations.
I love WGI competitions!
I grew up in a neighborhood with a hotel off my back yard. The hotel parking lot was flanked by a large hill. We'd sit up there and watch competitors practice in the parking lot, like it was a mini arena. 😄
I believe the Dayton Convention Center is one of the WGI venues? Our shop is about a 10-minute walk straight down East Fifth Street. A lot of WGI folks visit this area, thanks to many nearby restaurants & other cool shops. 🙂👍
@Konghammer
Ahsoka is steeped in Clone Wars lore. I've watched the 'toons, but not with committed dedication. It made Ahsoka feel a bit unfamiliar as a standalone series. Other than that, is full of great new stuff. Alas, there's a great character whose story seemed to have a place in future stories, but the actor passed away, likely leaving those tales untold - in live-action at least. It's worth a watch for any Star Wars fan.

Two very interesting books from a pile of new arrivals. Are they Philosophy? Writing? Sociology? I love the challenge of shelving cross-topic books. I'll probably put them in Science... Or, just let them float around the tables for a bit and see who finds them first. 😉
I've been working on 1950s & '60s LIFE magazines for the past month. Being awash in JFK era memories for a month, I literally recoiled at this bastard creation.
Many Mastodon users assume that everything in the Fediverse at least works just like Mastodon.
However, especially Friendica, Hubzilla and (streams) work vastly differently from Mastodon; when it comes to content warnings, disturbingly so for Mastodon users.
Since this is targetted at Mastodon users, I'll explain it in a thread.

Yikes!
One fellow on a video site was live-streaming his after-hours walk through the festivities outside the F1 venues. It was quite busy, festive even, but even this atmosphere couldn't snuff out the grumbling completely.
