I get that. I was in a different situation than you, but I got the same question. For me, I think it would be the need for affection, but in a way that it would be kinda awkward for a friend to provide (and that I don't get from my friends at all).

If one can do without this, then cool.

New Florida Law Requires All Women To Produce 3 Healthy White Sons By 22nd Birthday

TALLAHASSEE, FL—Touting the legislation as a common-sense victory for family values, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) signed a new law Thursday requiring all Florida women to produce three healthy, white sons by the date of their 22nd birthday. “The production of white daughters will not be penalized, but they will be seized by the state for the production of white sons,” said DeSantis, who clarified that regardless of the race, ethnicity, or religious background of the mother, all sons would be required to be both white and raised in a Catholic household. “Three is the bare minimum. The shockwaves are still being felt, even as far away as Berlin.In an unusual step, Faeser called for a special meeting of state interior ministers last Tuesday evening at 6 p.m., where they discussed improving security measures for politicians.

The interior ministers didn't even have the chance to log in to their video conference when, at around 4:15 p.m., a man hit Berlin Senator for Economic Affairs Franziska Giffey (SPD) over the head with a blunt object that had been wrapped in a bag. She had been visiting a public library in Berlin's Neukölln district.

At 6:50 p.m., the ministers still hadn't logged out of their conversation when the Green Party politician Yvonne Mosler got attacked and spat upon while putting up posters in Dresden.

Is there any way of stopping all this?

There have been numerous attacks on politicians and volunteer election workers in recent days. Even the running camera of a Deutsche Welle film team that accompanied Mosler failed to deter the perpetrators. Society, it appears, has reached a new level of brutalization. Berlin politician Giffey has called it a "fair-game culture."

These are acts that are usually only in the headlines or public consciousness for a short amount of time. Taken together, though, they act like a corrosive solution: Drop by drop, act by act, they erode democratic structures. Will they corrode to the point that they threaten to collapse?

Can people just not behave in politics? Don't they want to have some sort of stability at least and not turn everything into something closely resembling a civil conflict of some sort?

@msdropbear42 yea, indeed. There seems to be some significant increase in amount of hatred compared to other recent years. Not sure how widespread is it in today's society from my subjective POV, but it seems there and it is visible enough. I don't want to get to a point where one would be afraid to express their opinions.

@gianclgar this is highly dependent on each project. I think you're pretty much asking for Mastodon to embed the video as seen on the remote server instead of fetching it.

Maybe even add some indication about which kind of service the post is coming from (something that indicates “this is a mastodon post” in a clean way)

Just tried the mobile version of Winamp looking for a better Android music player. The interface looks great tbh, but man, they got no support for wma files and some of the tags are not read correctly (on the songs I own). I know this is not an issue for most of the people, but for me, it's really limiting on the music players I can use on my phone. Sadly, Winamp doesn't fit in this category either. Thank god there is Foobar that supports all these from day 1

Thanks! I'll check it out. Foobar is fine and does a lot of things that I do not see other players doing. What I didn't like was the fact that it has no adaptive icon and there is no way to display the lyrics of a song. Plus that I was looking for something that was following the material design guidelines more.

Edit: just checked it. Seems like it's not properly reading some artist tags, so it cannot find them:

Plus, in Foobar, a split album is displayed in both artist's views. Poweramp simply creates a different artist entry, just for the split:

I did not check how an album with multiple discs is displayed, but I still find Foobar's library management capabilities unlike any other's.

I do have to admit that Poweramp has a cool interface though.

@electro1 Which app more exactly? I'm not aware of Friendica having any mobile app. The web version seems more than fine. If, however, you want a dedicated mobile app, then check out Relatica.

Friendica also supports the Mastodon API, so you can also log in with pretty much any Mastodon app.

@electro1 they do need to update their website a bit fwiw. Friendiqa is not that great at all. But no, that's not an official one either. They do not have any first-party app at all.

Edit: You can also find a help section wherever you might choose to create an account, or a wiki available at wiki.friendi.ca/ with more information.
