Stop putting your life into it. There is barely any benefit for you but a lot of bad consequences in the future.

Don't trust me. Trust the hackers, governments and companies. Your data will be more valuable than what they give you in return for it.

How do we stop #AI to help on malicious requests? Like "Search me a loophole in the current law that allows me to receive money without paying taxes?". Is this even illegal?

How would we prevent others (like admins) from doing so if this is blocked from users? Can we even do this?

The way I see it, AI is a two edged sword where both sides mean cutting yourself.

Today I took the time to take a look at my followers and found some really interesting personalities in there!

It's quite sad to have such a limited bubble only. There are so many great minds on Fosstodon, yet my time and resources are so limited.

Sometimes I wish I could sit down and drink a coffee or tea with each and every one of you and talk about your ideas and opinions, even (or especially) if they are not like mine.

The Internet is dying.

Websites with libraries and media pulled from 30+ domains seem to be no exception anymore.

Who does this? Who has the guts to call himself a web developer or Website Administrator and then go crazy with includes?

At very least bundle it yourself. I cant look at Websites nowadays. Doesnt help that I know 1. how to make it better and 2. why it happens. :-/

I can feel that in 4-5 years there will be some companies going bankrupt because they chose to incooperate #AI into their products.

I feel like #StackExchange has a high chance to fail, the only quality content you have is user submitted and they are turning from that.

There are also things like #Google search which are already declining in quality day-by-day.

I've seen banks replace their FAQ and help search with an AI assistant. Why? This makes me mad.

So yesterday I ordered two identical products online, just a different color. Not from Amazon but directly from their Website. To support the vendor directly.

Turns out today I received the sending information. For one color. The other is still in preperation.

Why oh why? You told me to receive it quicker. But I never asked for it. Let me decide on ordering which one I want. I dont want to send 2 single items via mail.

I am so annoyed. This produces unnecessary waste, co2 and more.

Found a nice little Website which lets me check my #password strength.

I like it because it also requires me to input the website and login name so it does not use some stupid general rule but adjusts. And that for only $5/month!

On a unrelated note, does anybody know how someone breached my Gmail and bank accounts recently?

(This is a joke. But it also shows how easy it is to mistake something like a security hole as a feature)

I can't wait until the #AI hype is going to crumble when companies find out that even in the western world a user cannot and doesnt want to afford $5 for every service asking for being AI improved.

What do these companies expect? Should I pay $5 for my OS, $5 for my search engine, $5 for my watch/phone, $5 for my TV, $5 for my task list, $5 for my code editor, yes $5 for basically anything I used that has a useless use for AI?

I seriously dont understand this gamble. You can only loose.

I feel like today is a good day to announce that I will no longer support #FOSS, #OSS or #RightToRepair.

I came to the conclusion that I have nothing to hide and just too much money to spend. So in the next weeks I will gradually shift all my self-hosted services to propietary ones, buy Apple devices and move my data from my NAS to icloud.

Is there interest in a #foss static #forum software? Yes, you heard that right.

Thinking about creating a system for basically periodically scanning the inbox of a mail account, creating a #markdown draft which then can get approved or rejected by simply moving it to the appropiate folder. A #cronjob is then picking it up and compiling the forum page again.

This would work with mailto links, so any email editor is already the writing tool.
