Some people seem to be arguing that unless fighting climate change is easy, convenient, doesn't require any changes to how we live today, and doesn't cost us anything, then they don't want to support the efforts.

If have an opinion and you keep it to yourself, then this is the only space where anyone can hold any opinion, and it's fine.

But

If credible information indicates your opinion is based on lies, and you continue to hold to that opinion, that's shitty.

And

If you take action based on that opinion, that is harmful to others, that's really shitty.

And

If you knowingly encourage others to adopt the opinion that was based on lies, and take action that harms others, that is especially shitty.
