Je n'ai pas testé, je la découvre en même temps que je teste #yt-dlp et... comment on fait pour sélectionner ça ? j'ai bien trouver le ba(language=fr), mais en faisant un --list-formats, les différents français sont en fr, et je ne vois pas comment faire la distinction.
Stoked about recent progress on yt_xarray's embedded transformation framework! This new feature takes a non-cartesian #xarray dataset and wraps it in a cartesian #yt dataset. As yt needs data, it will interpolate data on demand. This let's you use yt's volume rendering without saving off interpolated versions of datasets (which is how I used to do things...). Makes it much easier to generate volume renderings of geophysical fields with yt. #python#data_viz#3d
Google is doing everything to drive Firefox users with adblock extensions crazy. Some Firefox users are still experiencing a 5 second delay when trying to view YouTube content.

@nixCraft This move doesn't make complete sense. I like Firefox but it doesn't even block ads out of the box unlike Librewolf and @brave and I'm not seeing any noticeable slowdown or delay on @brave... Is it because I'm logged in? #YouTube#YT#ads
Just tried #Piped for #Youtube and I found it slower than molasses. Tried creating my account and uploading my subscriptions. Worked for about 10 minutes and then wouldn't load anything.
Am I doing something wrong or am I getting a front-row seat for the deadly dance between YouTube and other front-ends?

Auch deswegen nutze ich YouTube nicht direkt, sondern Links über @invidious* oder nutze es mobil via @newpipe*, um Videos zu sehen und so weit frei vom Tracking zu sein. Leider sind noch nicht sehr viele anregende Videoproduktionen im Fediverse zB auf @peertube vertreten.

Having a ton of fun utilizing other plugins with yt-napari. This video shows some interactive plotting with napari-clusters-plotter after I used it to run a kmeans classification of individual pixels across 3 image layers (2D samples through yt's IsolatedGalaxy test data set).

J'ai des problèmes avec l'application #NewPipe (un client pour visionner les vidéos YT). J'avais sur mon smartphone Android, l'avant-dernière version disponible (0.25.1). Mais toutes les vidéos que j'essayais de passer, se bloquaient autour de 1min05. Je suis allé chercher l'APK de la dernière version (0.25.2). Là, l'application crash sans que je ne puisse tenter quoi que ce soit.

@thelinuxEXP You mentioned downloading #youtube#videos via #rss: I use #TinyTinyRSS and have all "subs" (I don't have a Google account) there in a feed category. Channel subs are made via #rssbridge. The feed category aggregates all the feeds into one. The aggregated feed then will be the source of my small #python script that downloads the videos via #yt-dlp and then uses the #ttrss api to "mark" the post/feed item/video to "read", after downloading. It's hacky but it works.
