Every Sunday I look back at the preceding week in kpop and pick out the music video or performance I liked best. This week I have chosen
Kwon Eunbi – Underwater – Asia Artist Awards 2023.
I like the tropical sound, and Eunbi’s stage presence makes this stage a winner. Eunbi’s 28 now, but I don’t think she is getting too much abuse for her age. I like seeing older idols, and I hope she carries on performing for years.
Swimming Brick was originally a short underwater adventure game, and with the later refinements, its map got expanded with mechanisms and intricate tunnels!
The sunshine was beautiful in shallow water, so most of my dive was spent enjoying and attempting to photograph that. I did see a brown sea raven and a couple tiny nudis, but mostly just cruised around enjoying my freshly repaired heated undergarments and the sparkling sun rays. I like the wide angle sunbeam shot, I just wish I could have found a more interesting subject for the image.
New photo collection added: https://briangweber.com/collections/sharks! I just uploaded some whale shark photos I took in the Philippines, which means I now have enough images to add a Shark collection. Sharks are some of my favorite creatures, so hopefully I'll have more encounters coming up to bring you more images of these awesome creatures.
New publication with Yiyi Whitchelo, Stewart Haslinger, & Duncan Williams on the scattering of #sonar from rough seabeds, as part of a Dstl supported EPSRC iCase on Advances in mathematical modelling to study complex sound propagation in an inhomogeneous moving ocean. #underwater#acoustics
An aircraft belonging to the #Japanese newspaper #MainichiShimbun spotted the first signs of an eruption in the southern part of the #IzuOgasawara arc, roughly 750 miles (1,200 kilometers) south of Tokyo, around midday local time.
In St. John's they have a really unusual aquarium, called The Fluvarium. It's essentially windows into a stream with salmon and trout. It's not, if I'm honest, the best tourist attraction, but it can make for some fun fishy photos!
These images are from a dive on October 11th at Folly Cove in Gloucester, Massachusetts. The first dive highlight was a rock gunnel who wanted to use us for cover and the second dive was filled with northern puffers. I'm seriously enjoying snoot photography!
"One million Florida properties are projected to be #underwater. Today, those properties fund nearly 30% of local revenues for more than half the state's municipalities."
“On October 11, 1923, a steel bulk freighter called the Huronton sank while making its way across Lake Superior. Now, a century later, researchers have located the shipwreck in an 800-foot-deep hole in the lake floor.
The Great Lakes Shipwreck Historical Society announced the find last week on the 100th anniversary of the ship’s sinking…
Researchers with the historical society discovered the Huronton’s wreckage in Lake Superior this summer. Aboard the R/V David Boyd, they were using side-scan sonar to systematically search for wrecks.." #GIS#spatial#mapping#remotesensing#sonar#sidescansonar#ROV#underwater#shipwreck#historic#LakeSuperior#GreatLakes#archaeology#shipping#transportation#lake#USA#wreck#Huronton#bulldog#sailors

after all she's been through. she basically started the teardown of bbc and now that all the girls are free, with new companies, doing new great things, it's finally time for her to release new music.
the song suits her so well and she looks incredibly cute in this mv. ☺️
This is cute, but if not for the clouds, I'd think this whole series was #underwater. If this is in the air, she's gonna need much bigger balloons and much bigger flippers, but then it would be surprisingly practical.
