I find myself posting more often on LinkedIn after the #Twitter crackdown. Especially for longer posts, it is useful. I know, LinkedIn is a centralized company as Twitter is (was?). However it's hard to rewrite some posts to shorter versions. At least for me.

Based on my post from yesterday: Nothing lasts forever!
Speaking of BF percentage I'm not in my peek anymore. My focus was more on #musclegain but I'm preparing to change that.
This Pic marks the start of an (at least) 3 weeks #hardcore diet in which I will document my #progress to see how much can change in this time. No miracles are expected. This will be a test run for the next year.
Second week of #ultra#training : it is very hard for me logistically to run 5 days a week, and in my attempt to double up with my bike commute schedule I might have done something weird to my knee? So I took an extra rest day and I’m heading out on the long run today to test it out.
I’m very nervous about the rest of this training plan. Injuries usually means I need to scale it way back. Do I really need to scrap this six month training plan only two weeks in? #running
I received so much good advice about #running slower to run faster (build up endurance first before going fast) and it's working well.
Is there a similar idea or plan on building upper body strength? That's always been a difficulty for me and I'd gladly take advice or links to plans! 😉
“The barrier to entry for training and experimentation has dropped from the total output of a major research organization to one person, an evening, and a beefy laptop.”
I played a psych game for my 9 mile long run, longest I’ve run since early November and near the highs I haven’t run in a decade. To compel me to stay in Zone 2, fat burning zone, I went out well hydrated but fasted on an out and back run path. I pretty much nailed Zone 2 except the penultimate mile that I intentionally ran way faster. I felt strong the whole way and had plenty left in the tank. The estimated VO2max keeps going up too. I’m very stoked about how well this experiment went and how my training the last month has unfolded. #running#training#Zone2Training#fitness
I need to shift my long run to tomorrow, back up to 11 miles, since weather all weekend is shitty. That meant a rare back to back running day the previous two days and an easy day on the peloton today to make sure legs are solid and rested for it. #running#training#fitness
Gah might have quadricep tendonitis, pain just above the kneecap. It showed up during the bike ride yesterday, and hasn’t gone away yet. Rest is probably the recommended thing, yeah? But I wanted to start running again tomorrow 😭 #injury#training#running#cycling
Anybody got a recommendation for a cheap #heartRateMeter chest strap that is compatible with the #Polar H9 and available in the #EU?
Bigger shops show products that claim compatibility with multiple models from the same manufacturers that are incompatible with each other, or don’t mention models at all. 🤦♂️
Original lasted less than three months, got a better model as warranty replacement by the merchant that I didn’t use a lot and died out of warranty now.
Ich habe einen Bauch- und Rückentrainer geschenkt bekommen. Hat jemand Empfehlungen für #Training|s #Video|s mit Übungen für einen M50+, der im Büro arbeitet?
Just realized that as of today, I am 4 weeks out of my #training schedule because of my inguinal #hernia. The pre-surgery examination is still 1.5 weeks away. First #race would have been in one week. Somewhat p****d off, and I am truly missing to #run.
Random muscle twitches in your legs after a workout are fun. It doesn’t hurt, I assume it’s normal. It’s just an interesting sensation…
Does anyone else get this?
My fueled 12 mile long run is in the books. Fuel being 8 oz each or Gatolyte and G Zero (probably twice as many electrolytes as I needed) and three packs of Welch’s fruit snacks. Despite being more idea temperature my pace was a bit off my 11 mile run last week. Still VO2max estimates over the week have kept improving. I did feel a bit stronger than when I’ve been doing these fasted, definitely not in Cookie Monster mode when I get done the runs too. So I’ll take all that as a win #running#training#fitness
Today was a target pace run for 15 mins (and an optional extra 5 mins) with 15 min warm up / cool down. The target pace was 7:28 - 7:48 and I ran the first interval (15 mins) at 7:30 and the second (5 mins) at 7:38. I was pretty pleased with this but Garmin gave me a 62% (average) execution score 🤔 …
They’re ready to go! It doesn’t matter what the course is - Internet Safety, Ethical Hacking, Cybersecurity Principles, Network Fundamentals, Server Management – whenever I present courses at a private company, it's always difficult to get them to provide Administrator rights on the users’ laptops. Problem solved! I purchased and prepared twelve laptops for a couple of classes I’m teaching on the East Coast in November and December. Now I can pre-configure the laptops as needed for a specific class and ship them anywhere.
PS: They don't discount open access, open data, and open code (or open protocols, preregistration, and so on). They take a step back and ask what strategies will advance them.
They are old-school and not readable, or would they make things easier to understand?
I can not judge as the ASCII is the natural environment for me. I have played the Dwarf Fortress and Cataclysm DDA without tilesets for way too long ;)
