I should have been more patient! The clouds eventually cooperated with a gorgeous red glow. It lasted only a few seconds, but definitely worth the wait.
Sunset over the pacific. Twilight, just before all the light of day is gone. The sun makes a final salute, setting on fire the clouds above and ocean below.
Sometimes simple is just better. As the sun was setting the heads of wheat were catching the last of the fading light. Interestingly, wheat is the most harvested crop in the world
Can't remember the last time I saw a really spectacular #sunset, especially in a place this special.
In 2010 I spent a few nights in Inverie, on the west coast of #Scotland. To get there you either have to take a boat or walk in over the mountains as it is not connected to the road network despite being on the mainland.
