• I've actually had an easier time keeping up with Slack than in Slack itself
• Initially I ran clients side by side but Beeper updates just as fast and I've since stopped running most except for Discord which I use for calls
• Even so, it's great to run it in parallel to Discord, because it's easier to text chat in Beeper while in a video call
Today I discovered that you can only edit a #signal message a maximum of ten times. I had been keeping a record of a series of events over a number of days and adding new info as it happened, hoping to be able to send a single message at the end, but it finally refused to commit an edit saying ten edits is the max.

Offenbar gibt es gerade eine sehr aggressive Kampagne durch um Aktivist:innen dazu zu bringen, von #Signal nach #Telegram zu wechseln. Es wird unterstellt, dass Signal nicht sicher sei.
Telegram ist grundsätzlich NICHT vollständig verschlüsselt. Die Betreiber haben Zugriff auf die Inhalte aller Gruppen, Kanäle und normalen Chats, wenn nicht ausdrücklich der sichere Chat gewählt wurde.

…und doch wollen mir Menschen immer wieder beibringen, dass die nichts zu verbergen haben. Eine Auswirkung von der Übernahme von deren mentalen Wahrnehmung und Privatsphäre, was ich als sehr übel empfinde.

WhatsApp has blocked me "due to spam" which (needless to say) is nonsense or some glitch on their end.
I know people will find it annoying/pretentious if I fully switch over to #signal but can you blame me after losing my primary means of communication? This fucking sucks and if it doesn't get resolved is going to mess up the next few months like i lost a wallet.
