I'm far too tired to cook dinner today. I ordered delivery food from Ferris' downtown. Got their bouillabaisse - local fishes, shellfish, tomato fennel broth, parsley, saffron aioli & fingerling potatoes. They usually deliver a good sized serving - I usually have enough for a late night leftovers snack.

Today in “planning to but I never do anything”, plans for atomique.org modules:

One module is just a catchup Mastodon client. It can only read posts from the last 12 hours. Paginated by chunks for 30 minutes (bar on top). Grouped by account. You mark pages/posts as read and can only favorite, boost and mark for reply. Until you get to zero.

At the end of the list it shows the ones you wanted to reply to and you decide whether you actually want to reply.

I am getting satisfaction everyday from the minimal structure of
https://butwhy.club

Because it’s one PHP file and a folder with one text file per question.

I just login on SSH with @palmin ‘s excellent and just edit the files with vim and my work documenting daily capitalism is done.

Setting up https://butwhy.club was an exercise in laziness and minimalism. It’s just one PHP file and a CSS file. Each question is a text file. All created from my bed using Vim in terminal app.

The #NorthSea’s population of gray #seals, for example, has grown steadily in recent years, a comeback aided by the 30 wind parks in the North Sea.

For all the criticism the company behind Raspberry :rpi: deserves I must say consistency in software still makes them a good choice vs other ARM boards. Updated servers Pis to BookWorm from either Buster or Bullseye over SSH+tmux and all went well (just had to recreate some Python venv).

Actually the better competition now are cheap Intel mini PCs as they have true Debian.

If you’re wondering: yes for Buster machines I first upgraded to BullsEye and then to BookWorm. Took a while but it’s just waiting. Did it all from @palmin ‘s app .

You know how some folks watch encounter vids & they're like - OMGosh, that's so cute/awesome how they're feeding wildlife from their hands/decks/cabin or car windows?

I'm like - Fuck those dumbass people who are gonna get more wildlife shot because they're & who want a great photo with wildlife more than they care about wildlife.

None of those kinda people "love wildlife". All of those selfish people only love to show off that they've been near wildlife 🤡

PLEASE NEVER TRUST any online video about shellfish harvesting. Please do due diligence & check areas you're planning to do shellfish harvesting from FIRST! Areas change a lot & some are closed year round. I had one high school friend become fully disabled after paralytic shellfish poisoning - he's needing 24/7 care. It was from eating toxic mussels.

PLEASE DON'T BE STUPID WITH HARVESTING!

We stopped in along the way home yesterday. Bought 4 lbs of from store - located below gas station/store/cold beer & wine/Subway beside the Buckley Bay ferry terminal.

Current market price for their is $8.50/lb.

Boiled up today. Ate the clams with sauce, with fresh squeezed lime/pulp & fine minced Thai chilies.

Cooked clams in large white plastic colander. A small bowl of nuoc cham sauce with fresh lemon & Thai chilies is beside it.
