Sometimes I have nothing to say. I have plenty to say about the state of the world. I don’t say it on here. Here is a place for contemplation. A place of peace, of calm and of quiet. I am lucky to live within easy access of this glorious view. I share it with you in the hope that it will bring a restorative moment.
A view from the south-east of Stac Pollaidh or "Stack Polly", north of Ullapool in Wester Ross. At 2,008ft or 612m in height, this is a mountain that easily makes up in character and charm for what it lacks in stature. There's a certain schadenfreude in witnessing the rending of shirts and blowing of fuses at the clear and obvious bias by the BBC in its #ge2024 coverage. Takes me right back to their coverage of #indyref in 2014. How do you like them apples? #Scotland#IndependenceIsNormal
The north side of Balbirnie Stone Circle. The circle comprises eight stones in a partial circle some 15m in diameter and was probably erected over 4,000 years ago.
