#WordPress folks, without forking shit tone of money. What mailing list plugin should I use. Something lightweight that will allow people to subscribe and unsubscribe and that will get a weekly newsletter of all the posts that came out for the week prior to the newsletter. Anyone? La funzione per deferire il caricamento degli script sembra funzionare, mentre invece la stessa cosa per i fogli di stile sembra proprio di no… e addirittura l’opzione per minificare JS/CSS e/o raggruppare in un singolo file i tanti di quel tipo va a creare dei file più grossi, non mi è ben chiaro come (soprattutto quando solo il raggruppamento è attivo). E poi, la funzione per #minificare l’HTML è utilizzabile solo attivando il componente di caching del plugin… che non sarebbe un problema, se solo non avesse effetti collaterali del tipo di congelare i feed RSS, come ho constatato prima. Peccato, perché ridurre e cachare proprio le pagine #HTML avrebbe fatto una bella differenza in positivo. 😑️
Ce ne sono altri di plugin #WordPress per minificare l’HTML, magari vedrò se uno di quello funziona senza brutti effetti o no. #Altervista a dire il vero offre un servizio di #cache per WP che funziona decentemente, peccato che va in conflitto con il plugin ActivityPub (cosa che forse non sbaglierei a segnalare sul forum di supporto, sia mai che l’aggiustano per me e tutti i potenziali utenti), e per questo dovetti disattivarlo, e ora necessito in piccola parte di alternative. 🥱️

Currently it is providing around 5% to my daily consumption, which is not much. It's December and the heatpump is running hard.
The biggest challenge is to prevent export to the grid. The sun is shining when the consumption of the house is the lowest. Currently I am preventing it with some #homeassistant automations, which turn on dehumidifier (which I use for drying clothes) in a laundry room or a boiler.
Stavo pensando, avendo spostato il #MicroBlog su #WordPress, ho tantissimo controllo in più riguardo la gestione e l’archiviazione dei contenuti… potrei, volendo, non preoccuparmi di non postare monnezza solo perché poi rischio di non trovare i post migliori, che sarebbero sommersi; posso tranquillamente impostare post come non elencati senza però cancellarli, installando il giusto plugin, cosa impossibile sia su #Telegram che sulle maggiori piattaforme #ActivityPub. 📑️
Ma, probabilmente, non ce n’è nemmeno bisogno. La #ricerca nel sito funziona decisamente meglio di quella sulle altre piattaforme: non fa cilecca, e trova davvero tutto, inclusi attributi #HTML oltre al contenuto, il che vuol dire poter cercare per nomi di file allegati, alt-text, e altra roba, oltre a (almeno dalla dashboard admin) poter filtrare per data veramente (non soltanto andare alla data, come su Telegram). E, se non mi bastasse, guarda un po’, troverò un #plugin già fatto che me la rende ancora meglio! 🙏️

oh wow okay this is a huge bug they're fixing in activitypub for wordpress and it's pretty likely it's also the cause of my problems with federation stopping working every so often:
I have blog followers from more than 10 different instances on the first page of my blog's follower list, so this is definitely hitting me. And if unfollowing and re-following puts my instance back into the list in the first ten, that would explain why that works.
They're dropping the new version early this week. Watch for this one, it's very important!

Do you think using Linux for Music Production is difficult?
Linux Music production used to be really hard. In the early days, there was no plugin support for DAWS. Every individual application was standalone & was strung together by routing the audio to & from applications.
Those days are gone. Linux is just like Windows and Macs, & nearly as easy. Linux DAWs support LV2, VST3, and CLAP plugins.
1 of 2: I set up a folder in #Obsidian as a #Longform#plugin project yesterday. This morning, on my laptop, two files are blank, and they have no sync history. The Longform app is still installed, but no longer recognizes that I had a project in progress.
When I ran to my desktop machine and opened Obsidian, I was relieved to see my files and project intact -- but then Obsidian synced ... and the same files blanked, and now the desktop also fails to recognize my folder as a Longform project!
